Gisburn - 11:15am ???????? - Please confirm if you want to meet at Garage before turn to Settle, just before cattle auction / market..
Settle - 11:45am - (A Brew Will Be Required By Leigh / Manc Lads at this point)
Leave Settle 12:00
Arrive Hawes 22 Miles Later - Time ??????????

Dan, I'll be with a mate on a White / Red R1..(09:45am) If you travel from M'cr on the A580 you will pass a Trike place on the right at Astley just after a junction of T-Lights, shortly after you will pass a little thief (sorry chef) on the left. After this you will go straight through a set of lights and then the next junction is a roundabout (Greyhound Roundabout), There is a fuel station on your left / hotel opposite and we will wait for you there.. I will send you a PM with my mob number just in case..:thumbup

Rhode: Don`t know if you`re aware mate, but it`s a cracking little run out from Hawes to Kirby Lonsdale ( Devil`s Bridge ), which is a bit like a natural circle of the run you`re doing.

The run from the Bridge back down is good too, and if you turn right in Longpreston ( poss the A684, or similar :dunno), this is also a fantastic road that will bring you out at the little roundabout in Gisburn.

Just be aware, and I don`t know if any of the local lads can confirm this, but the road from Longpreston to Gisburn may now be 50mph limits, but if not, a great run.

Good luck anyway, and wish you the same sort of weather we`ve had this weekend (still might make it depending on how ill the wife will be at the weekend, as this chemotherapy **** really takes its toll on her.....:angry)

just be aware also boys that the plod have a very fast subaru mong mobile around hawes etc ...

sorry to any lads/mongs lol on here:nana

Mind if i join? havent been on here long so wont really know anyone.

LOL, I don`t think anyone knows anyone on this run anyway mate, but it`ll be a chance to put that one right !

Seriously mate, I`m sure you`ll be more than welcome, and I don`t know ANY of the lads either yet, as I`m pretty new to the forum, like yourself. :devious

Not sure if I can make it though, yet mate, as the wife has cancer (leukaemia), and she`s just come out of hospital from yet more of that **** chemo, which makes her mega-ill...........but if there`s a chance, I`ll be there.

If you`ve any questions not yet answered within the thread, PM Rhodeseeker, as he`s the organizer, and a good lad to boot !

Enjoy !! :thumbup

Cheers bud, I and the wife really appreciate that - seriously ! :thumbup

Can`t tell you how much it has destroyed our lives mate, especially the wife`s obviously, and as we have young kids as well, it`s made things a living nightmare. Sometimes the only thing keeping me sane is to get out and ride the Ape (on the odd occasion I can at the moment), as it really does lift you no-end.

Hopefully, one day things`ll be back to normal, but it`s going to be a while yet. Fingers crossed, and thanks again for your kind words. :thumbup

Good idea "init"......................we could all pop over to Dexters place to cheer them up.

Well okay maybe not :dowhat, Hope all goes well and you and the Missus can get your lives back to normal soonest :thumbup

All the best to your wife Dexter :thumbup

My wifes sister is having chemo atm too , and a former workmate has just weeks left due to cancer. Also found out this week that a current workmate has bowel cancer. This disease is awful and until it happens to someone close to you you dont really realise just what the sufferers have to cope with. I sincerely hope she gets better mate and your lives get back to normal once more :thumbup

Wow, thanks for your kind replies lads ! :thumbup

The missus is sat watching the news at the moment, and I`m on the computer with her, reading out the comments from you.

Many thanks, and much appreciated, you `d be surprised what a difference these comments make.

Just wanted to add my best wishes Dexter, hope your missus is keeping strong and you're looking after her.

Quite a few people close to me have been through it and all the treatment in the last couple of years.... I know from them how gruelling it is but I'm pleased to see how fantastic the medical advancements in recent years have been so keep yer chins up and know that there's a lot of mates on here willing the best for you. :thumbup
