I'm not hearing anything when I push the button what is the relay for and where is it located

Relay under the seat near battery. Search starter relay there are pics on here. They are known to give problems

It may be the relay. Check to see if yours is a 50A one. The upgraded one is a 150A unit. I swapped mine after research and testing, and it started fine. Good luck.

Did you get to the bottom of this? Had a similar problem yesterday, no starter, EFI light on on side of the road. Turned out a fuse had blown and was caused by the speed sensor! Disconnected it replaced fuse and got home.

Just had same problem with mine. The starter motor fuel pump speed sensor and lamda sensor are all on the same fuse. Under the right hand fairing infill panel. The 15amp fuse may be blown. Check that. Mine was caused by a faulty speed sensor so disconnected it and bike starts fine albeit with no speedometer. Hope this helps and you get her going

Sounds like it could be a knackered immobiliser. I've just successfully removed mine. If you want to know how to do it then PM me.

Yes I think it is likely to be this and have sent you a PM for advice on how to remove and circumvent the imobiliser.

Instructions gratefully received

Just a quick update to say that thanks to Stureid here on the forum I have now bypassed my factory fitted immobiliser and the bike starts fine and is running well .

Now I've got the bike running I need to re-commission it which will include a significant clean and overhaul of major components I expect .

So thanks to anybody who gave me some tips to find this fault and I will be posting some other threads to get further assistance so thanks a lot guys
