I own 2004 RSV 1000R that my dad bought brand new in London. It has been sitting in the garage for the past 8 years and I have gotten it running. But the problem is after it dies out mid ride then you have to take apart the carburator box and fit it back together, only then will it start again and die mysteriously later or sooner and you have to do everything again.
What might exacly be the problem? Fuel runs to the nut, both plugs have spark, compression is existant.
Need some new ideas, thank you!

Edit: Wanted to mention that I was riding in first gear throttling up when suddenly something red showed up in the dashboard and bike shut down, not starting again. Also there is torque at all, it goes up to speed but no torque.

Could be an intermittent fault with the immobiliser. Mine did that until I disabled it. Easy to found out how when Google is your friend and you have a paperclip to hand!

Removed my immobiliser a year ago, it was making a really weird and after bypassing, later removing the wiring, it was working "fine", delayed throttle etc.

After many thoughts I finally took apart the throttle body to clean it fully, replacing the 2 gaskets that were from AP Workshop (could have been handmade aswell). Cleaned the injectors and tested them individually aswell because originally only one was shooting out when looking thru the gas flaps. Put it back together and it ran first try and very well, like a dream.

Have to also mention that I had small tree barks in the gas tank so I took apart the fuel pump to flush the system. Also used alot of brake cleaner everywhere.
