Can't remember exactly but sure I remember the part was around £100. Best check with your local Aprilia dealer, or Spoonz may know. PM him.

haha i know mate im waiting for him to rinse me tomorrow when he comes online

Once ive got the parts are they pretty easy to fit or is it in depth work Oooooh man is this the last thing it could

No mate is a scare tactic for MB, he has gone all quiet now. MB it will be fine, was there any crunching noises recently or when it wouldnt start?

Looks like a piece of p155 to me but then again I am a techie.

You can do it!!!!

We'll help you.

You do have the manual?

haha beat ya again :laugh

no mate its beeen sound since i brought the relay a couple of months ago hence why i never got round to fitting it

yesterday it made this spinning noise once but left it for 10 seconds and tried again and it was spot on,

did it again this morning and then went dead at lunch time

Before you go full on sprag clutch chasing squire, get the battery up to full charge, or borrow someone else's and see how you go. Remember, a slightly low battery will turn the starter, but won't have enough go in it to get the motor to start, and if my memory serves me correct, you have been having an intermittant starting problem on and off for a few weeks now.....which could mean the battery has been slowly on its way out sir.

i got the manual on my pc bud but that went kaput a few days ago should be back up and running in the next few days and ill download it again,

Mr Cat i hope your right i really do, would it work if i got the jump leads onto the car

Before I replaced my battery and relay, I did try the jump it from the car routine with the old battery which coincidentally was reading 12.2 on the dash before hitting the starter button. It didn't want to know sir!

Always check the cheapest and simplest things first I say :D

Any ideas how long the battery has been on the bike for? I'm guessing if you have the voltage display on the dash, when you hit the starter it is dipping to 11. something???

yeah high 11s when i hit the button then it settles back up to 12.3

the batterys not been on long was new when i brought it so say feb when first fitted, my old man has a car battery charger will that be ok bud

Should be reading mid 13's before you hit the button really squire. If the relay has been on it's way out and the battery has been taking additional strain by extra starting attempts, then it could well be that it has lost its oomph shall we say. If the battery charger your Dad has is a trickle charger, then I can't see why not. Just make sure you keep an eye on it for the first hour or so just in case.

theres defo an optimate down at the local bike shop im sure they wont mind me using it ill whip it off and take it down, how long do you think it will take or is it best to leave it with them over night
