Arrive Hawes 22 Miles Later - Time ? ~~ about 12.15 if we're stopping at Ribblehead for photies, otherwise about 10 past :devious

Really looking forward to it.
Seriously though the 'Main Ride' doesnt take very long at all (20mins +/-).
There's plenty of chance for a brew and a chat etc and of course most of us will have done a few miles just getting to Settle in the first place but maybe we should think about a run from Hawes onward or a round trip back to Hawes.
Probably needs some planning before we get there???
Any thoughts anyone??

We would be up for it.........have to see Rhodsey he the man.........
As you say Beechy the main run when all the group is togeather is only 20 mins to half hour tops...............i was going to suggest hawes then down to Devils bridge but if its busy you wont get parking for 30 bikes togeather ......anyway ill go with what everyone else wants to do.......:thumbup

Devils bridge:eek::eek::eek:...Cops will have a field day with their noise meters..
I'm rummaging in the shed, trying to find the standard number plate, that'll be one less thing to be ticked for.:doug

Chaps, i am fine with another route back down and as Dexter suggested the Devils Bridge one aswell, It would back up that plan... So is that Sorted? I suppose we will have to worry about parking at the time .. As mentioned before, once we get everyone assembled in Settle I am going to drop back and suggest you local boys take the lead as i am not the most experienced, so suggest the local riders go off first and i will do my best based on my ability behind... Just glad to have assembled it so far.....

Just a bit of a heads up boys for those that dont know ,from settle to hawes and where ever after that there will no doubt be dibble activity unmarked subaru, silver 3 series bmw, hiding on the banking from settle to ingleton with "safety camera's" etc etc ...

Don't get up there much but agree....

All of the above plus have seen unmarked Golf and unmarked Skoda in the past plus the occassional unmarked bikes around Yorkshire - blackbird, GSXR !!

So keep it sensible (ish)

Whilst I've got my grandma head on for those who don't know the roads round here there are several bumps/jumps that can have you out of your seat at the very least - so enjoy it to the full (it would be criminal not to) but be wary - last thing you want is a ticket or a spill

Oh and I see there's quite a few on various other bikes (which is good - they're more to be pityed than scorned) who probably already know but, tell them to read the road and not rely on the guy in fronts brake light because they wont get that kind of help from most 'twin' riders :nana

OK I've finished - just read this back and I sound like a right fanny :puke
sorry for that - see you all tomorrow ENJOY :thumbup:thumbup

Just a thought .....we could go bypass Devils Bridge and down to caton laybye... Good tea & coffee
loads of parking there plus M6 just 2 or 3 miles away for those heading back North or South...........................

Anyway the good news is me takin Sharon my missus on the back, thought i would treat her to a magical day out, meeting new freinds and exploring the country side, ...........and buying me beer.... :thumbup

Rhodsey............Settle then A66 to Ingleton.......A687...Follow to Caton LayBye,,,Usual Bike stop tea & coffee ect
.......M6 North & South is 2 or 3 miles away....for those going south
they can go to M6 or over quernmore nice twisty bits that brings you out
next to M6 another junction closer to home for us guys going south.......

Well find somebody who knows where they going............
