had bikes in the past that look to small and i fitted ok also but didnt feel right after a while .

personal maybe but no point anyway as i dont like it . aprilia have priced themselves out of the 1000cc sport market me finks by scrapping the rsv and making the only other option stupid money as in the rsv4 .

fair point, would also agree that the rsv is an awesome track tool (did the ring in good times)

RSV4 Ugly?

RSV4 ugly?, i think not personally, last years ZX10 now that is UGLY:lol. Same with the new FIreblade.

Ugly is too strong a word for me but certainly i'm neutral on the looks.

They certainly don't make me coo at the prospect of owning one.
As i tour a bit and know how painful cramped bikes can get i wouldn't want to torture myself anymore than my RSV and now Duke already does.

At the end of the day if it rocks your boat that's all that matters. Eye of the beholder etc etc.

£15K for a bike - not for me when i see what i can get for £10k or less.

TOTALLY AGREE THERE MATE .

GOOD JOB WE ALL DIFFERENT EH OLEK RSV4 LOOKS WILL PROB GROW ON MOST , THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THE SIZE OF THE THING . IT MIGHT BE A TOP TRACK TOOL ETC ETC BUT REALLY WHO CARES ABOUT ALL THAT . MY RSV WASNT THE FASTEST THING WHEN I GOT THAT BUT HEY ITS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ME AND I DONT HANG ABOUT BY ANY MEANS .

ALL BIKES HAVE GOOD AND BAD . AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS JUST GOOD TO GET HOME AFTER A GREAT DAY ON EM AND LIVE TO TELL THE TALE EH :thumbup

It is indeed, will be getting the V4, but am seriously considering keeping the mille for trips round europe etc.....

err looks good up close but is too expensive brand new mybe a few years time but now im happy with my millie R :)

Went to my local Aprilia dealer in Dundee today, going to look at Tuono's. Sat there in the showroom a RSV4.

Stunning, absolutely freakin' stunning in the flesh. it's looks tiny but the lad who runs the shop, a very handy racer, tells me it's only 5mm shorter in wheelbase than the 08 RSV.

Detail and finish looks excellent, sounded awesome.

15K, well i don't have that kinda money anyway so easy enough for me to say I ain't gettin one!

He raced the demo bike last week at the NW it's due back in Dundee next week and I have a blagged a wee go on it.

All thoughts of getting too old for serious sports bike have disappeared, I WILL have one of these in the future.

Bob

bob, i took it out put in on track mode, Went to my loc al tanning road and let loose, returning from the test ride, i got off it, spend the next 40mins shaking with adrenaline overload before saying yes! i want one

29 years old and single, why not?

If only i could fit on one even at 6ft 2".

I sat on one yesterday for the first time and they are just so small, tiny in fact. The seating postion was ok but there's not a chance of ever buying one, in reality they're just far too small for my needs

I was out last week looking for a bloody HT cap for 2001 rsv, £16 btw ? For one!!!
Anyway tried the bike shop in Thorne near donny to have a looksee if they had one. and there's the rsv4 looking really small!! well i'm 6,1 and when i stood next to it i was shocked it.tiny

However when i sat on it it didn't feel much smaller than normal for 07/8 bikes only strange thing was how low the tank seemed to be.

It felt strangely right only problem is i think i'd ramped up onto the tank under heavy breaking? i mean it was lower than my left nut (always sits slightly higher than right its a birth defect):roll

has anyone done this yet?

I saw my first one in Premier bikes on Sunday. I must say i was rather impressed with the looks :thumbup

But 15K  i think i'd be looking elsewhere first, plenty of good bikes out there for much less than that :roll

Cant say i have, next toilet break i will have a looksee, thanks for the HEADSup:biggrin

If your in donny matey lets get a ride out, sprocks aint too far from you either

As for the RSV4, i aint got £15k to spend on a bike, and if i did have i would pay it off my mortgage. My RSV is plenty for me and i think the Duke 1098/1198 is prettier tha the RSV4 anyway. Olek at 6`6 thats impressive to be comfortable on one dude, im 6`4 and sometimes i feel like i make the mille look like a mini moto

Yeah definately go on a ride out. :thumbup

That way i could increase the number of miles i've done on my bike from 7 miles to some thing in double figures.

And maybe stop wobbling like fcuk:biggrin

also wanna ride out, recovering after getting my new eyes, still scratchy and swollen, but vision is already miles better.... should have my new baby in the last week of june (so prolly mid july knowing dealerships) either way any excuse for a ride out
