Who is buying an RSV4?

I picked mine up yesterday and have just had 300 miles of sheer bliss...I know there is a lot of hype about the RSV4 and it's easy to agree with it all, but it seriously is incredible....

I'm struggling to fault it (the stand is difficult to put down....I am slightly retarded though) it is amazing.....worth every single penny

Just buy it on finance and get gap insurance so when you crash it or someone nicks it you get all your money back.....basically its a great way to save 15k over 3 years!

wait and wait some more

Glad to find this forum! Hello all and at the same time damn you in the UK for having the factories already available to you!! hehe The dealers here in southern california are taking down payments but have no idea of how much they will cost, when they will be released, and how many will be released. So its and endless wait and wait some more!! Those of you who got your wheels already... post some pics of those new toys! These things are too smooth.

gotta say the rsv4 is a monster in every way according to all the write ups but in the looks department it doesnt look like anything special at all to me ,not for that money anyway .. if i where going to sell my beloved rsv i would defo go for the 848 duke now thats a nice lookin bit of kit.

Out of the RC8 and 848, i would have the RC8, the 848 is a poor relation to the 1098 and "looks" built to a budget. The RC8 has a feel of quality. But out of them all, the RSV4 does it for me.

well have to disagree with the MONSTER bit the only thing it has is top end the rc8r has more bhp and more torque and that i'm afraid is what i would buy and everbody knows i love my aprilias but having the standard 8 the brakes and handling are out of this world and the pull out of the corners when ridden hard is blistering havn't ridden the rsv4 and don't intend to as all the write ups say its not a good road bike and thats where most people will be on it!

Will let you know how i feel on friday mate, im taking both out back to back. I like the RC8, not sure on the RC8R with those horrible looking white panels on the front. I like the look of the RSV4 and the finish on it.

be interesting to hear your opinion but i think you are sold on the rsv4 already!
both i think are different from the norm :thumbup
what put me off mate was aprilia parts etc.......can be a nightmare

:nanaThe RSV4 has now landed in New Zealand and according to the importer the first shipment is sold (although I have seen one on trade me for sale). I got an invite to go to the official release on Tuesday, so will get to see one in the flesh. Will take my camera, and my aprilia race suit just incase I get lucky enough to ride the demonstrator.:doug

Nah no selling for me, its a freind buying. He's been on a R1, Blade and GSXR and i think he sold on the GSXR. It looks a really nice piece of kit, well finished.

But i am sold a little on Aprilia, the service i've had from my dealer has been the best after sales i've ever known, and i didnt even buy it from them.

Has anyone seen the mental rear seat? It sits on the top of the fins at the back apparently !

no clips or any thing! is this true?

rear seat pad fits as normal with a plastic slider and a pin for the locking mechanism. Altho not too sure why you would want them on anyways....
took a mate out on the back. she is 12 stone and all the bike wanted to do was wheelie.:roll so the first mod, would be to remove the pegs and discard the rear seat pad in the dark depths of the garage :doug
