Sunday 27th March South Wales to Mid Wales ride out (and back)

Windy / newelly, really hoping one of your vid cams comes up some decent footage.
Stan with his 3 cameras had a bit of a tech nightmare, the one on his lid was wireless and something was a load of interference on the receiver.
the one some of you saw fixed to his parcel shelf, well that vibrates so much that the video looks like it has been filmed in the hall of mirrors.
And that only leave the third one which was fixed to the lower part of his forks, havent seen this but have been assured its better than the other 2.

All that said i can possibly get a decent 5 mins out of it, even got windy on there trying to talk tech, but i cannot understand it casue its in Bristolish

My doctor is **** as well , 2 bloody doctors and neither one knew what was wrong !
Did feel ******ed this morning mind you , 300 miles for me yesterday but you did way more than me , fair play to you mate !

Think we did about 350 ish in total so not a lot more, yes absolutely did not feel like work this morning. But got back on the bike and had a ***** ride to work in thick fog.

Who's organising the next ride out then? Day outs are easier to organise than weekends so who's volunteering?

I'm thinking of seeing if there's any interest in a forum ride to the seaside - down to Bridport in Dorset then along a cracking piece of road along the Jurassic coast to Weymouth for fish and chips and maybe a paddle in the sea


Roads won't be a patch on the ones we did in Wales (coast road excepted) and there'll be a lot more traffic, so it'd be more of a social than a great ride.

I'll stick a thread up later to guage interest.

Ive got a route down here thats good fun
From burnham to about halfway on the minehead road , turn off and its a good 30 miles of twistie stuff with a bit of quick in there as well .
into minehead
then on through porlock
down to lynton and lynmouth for fish n chips by the sea
back up over the moors , quick stuff , then back to minehead
halfway back along the minehead road and peel off towards taunton , nice fast sweepers and up and down
back to bridgwater for coffee at V&J honda

Nice one , need it to be dry though , under the trees could be tricky if wet or damp !

yo shotgun,sounds good, are you on about the Bampton road? ive done that one from Tiverton end to Minehead, its a doozy, any roads down that way are good, me and Dave B and Razor were trying to sort one down that way last year but we ran out of summer, it was gonna be the fat git's eating tour of north devon, cream tea's ,fish and chips ..do it this year instead...

Sounds like a few are up for it mate , now if we could just order some warm weather and tell the fuzz to have the day off then its sorted !

I have us all leaving Aber ... and the Alley etc ...

I have us all in convoy along boring bits

I have us all leaving the first petrol station and forcing the auld gadgy to wait

I have the last 7 of you leaving me at Herefored with my Japanese salute

Also huge footage of me doing 70 - 85 trying to keep tail end in sight without losing Matt on his 125 from my mirrors as I had the sat nav

Having said that ... I have some of him in the tight twistys really giving it some. (I had Lucie on the back so had to be sensible ... mmmm) and leaving me for dead at one point

I have a bit of a chav in a VW Golf V5 flicking his hazzys and tearing off with me right up his arse in pursuit at up to 128mph before traffic stopped him (bloody quick car though from a 30mph standing start)

What else?

There was a moment of red mist when I overtook the CBR but I have'nt found it yet.

Nor have I seen the hopters

One of my drinking mates is an ex-plod (retired at 49 type cuntstubble) and he was tellin me tonight how the choppers works as a pair with 1 x pacing a leading bike of a group coming onto or along a fast bit of road and over a set distance which can be as simple as those white squares in the road but could be a shadow or a sheep if they really want ur ***. While he's doing that the other is waiting for the lead bike of the next bunch. And yes .. .they can clock your plate with ease.

Nothing to do with me officer ... I was at the back!
