Well we weren't really hammering it. Sensible ride in my opinion. Few overtakes over speed but that's safer that way. Where we saw the choppers I was doing about 65 and then they went over the mountain. Don't think they were chasing us. Lot more faster stupid loons than us lot out there

I have to say that even without me Lucie on the back I could NOT have kept up with the front runners ... never in a million years

Well before we lost you lot I was near the front from Aber to Llandovery, and I have to say that that's quicker than I normally ride - too worried about the plod. Could just about keep up!
I am worried about that stretch where the copter was, as I was doing about 80 odd. However if he saw Windy coming flying past me hopefully he would have diverted his attention!! Nah Windy I am sure we both will be fine - I hope :eek

Yeah, ive got about 4 hours worth of video at the mo, with about 2 mins worth watching!!! One of the funniest is watching bay **** around with his stand in the petrol station in abber.
If newelly gets his stuff to me i can put it all together and maybe get around 5 - 10 mins of film to stick on you tube

And leave me stand epics off it. It was the undulating concrete in the station. Plus I've a bad groin which cracks so I have to get comfortable before I get on the bike. Can take a few goes before it cracks and I feel comfortable. Age doesn't come by itself huh. I blame all the years of rugby I played.
PS Newelly the front runners as u put it were only doing 65 to 70 max. I guess when u're at the back in a large group it always feels like you're playing catch up and always end up going faster than the front runners. I'm sure u'd have no problem keeping up with us.

I can tell u I've nearly fallen over when my groin has cracked just walking along down the street.
Wish I'd just stayed sat on the bike now looking around.
PS I was very tempted not to go at the front as I though I might be too slopw for everyone. I class myself as quite a slow road rider.

Get off you lot weren't hanging about - I know as I was next!
The bit I don't like is when you are behind something slow and can't get past, you feel pressured into making that overtake as if you are holding everybody up. Daft I know. Luckily when I was still with all you lot didn't have to make one risky overtake thanks to the quality of roads and other riders. Think it helps we all seem to be about the same age - wisened :thumbup

Oh I got stuck behind a car going into llandovery when that Duc rider overtook us all. Its just I know the coppers lurk on that bit of road and he was lucky that day they weren't hid behind the bush by the farm

Right then you lot , how about sunday the 1st of May for this ride out down minehead way , its a bank holiday weekend that weekend so i suspect some wont be able to make it , so how about sunday the 8th if thats better , gives everyone time to take loads of cod liver tablets and warm their old bones up from wot ive been reading on here ( im one of em ) . Will make a stop off where they sell mushed food for the people with false teeth , thats Windy taken care of then !!!

Sunday always better for moi due to work on Saturdays. I shall speak with the other half and find out when I'm allowed out to play. Mothering Sunday this Sunday so I've been told not allowed this Sunday due to the parents and parents in law visiting. Not working this Saturday but think the weather is supposed to be ***** anyway. Time to clean potato I think. It's looking a bit dusty at the mo.
