Who'd be up for a forum ride to the seaside (Bristol - Weymouth and back)?

Sounds good to me for both. Shotgun has mentioned May 1st/8th for the Exmoor ride - perhaps one should be in April, and the other in May? I could do both in May but wouldn't they better spaced apart a bit for other peeps?

Yeah I was thinking the same Stix. Maybe as the Weymouth weekend may have people coming some distance it'd be better to do it later, maybe in June, to increase the chance of warmer weather.

Make sense, but if that's the case what can we organise for April - like the idea of a big ride every month, especially as I missed out on half of last Sunday's ride :)

How about the 16th or 17th of April then guys. Could meet in Chepstow and do the Gloucester loop or could do the Abergavenny, Brecon up through Lower Chapel and Upper Chapel then the rest of the route Stix missed to Crossgates and back.

Just a suggestion

I realise this may be a bit far for some of the people who made the last ride out. Up for other suggestions though.

Second route sounds great for me as I missed that bit, but prepared to go with the flow.

Perhaps a Saturday (if other peeps are allowed out on Saturdays?) might be better for less plod.

What fast guys. I was 2nd to Llandovery and Builth and unless my speedo is wrong my speedo was only showing mostly 60 and tops 70. Mind u I don't like slowing for corners much. Still class muself as a slow road rider
we were just being sensible following you Bay, and bowing to your knowledge of rozzers, cameras, choppers etc !!!
Me and Gilo did have a good old fashioned "raz" down the Usk road on the way back though.....

I led the ride as far as Builth but I purpously kept the speed down as we had a big group and I didn't want people having to ride like loons to try and keep up - it's much harder work being at the back of a group than at the front. When I got buzzed by the first chopper I was damn glad I wasn't cracking on!
