Stage 1 of the Rebuild

WOW cheers GAz that would be fantastic if you could sort that, im defo after going for the original look, i keep looking at pictures of the bike when i first had it and think one day it will be like that again:inlove but yeah i would be super super gratefull if you could help me out nice one Gaz glad ya finnaly signed up :biggrin

No worries m8.

For a while there I thought I had lost the bloody things, couldn't find them anywhere but eventually managed to hunt them out.

As I said, the decal kits come in 4 parts, you apply the white number board around the headlight first, then a zig-zag on each side and finally the "RSV Mille" decal on the numberboard.

They are a bit fiddly to apply because of the curved surface of the top fairing so I would warm them with a hair drier first and also spray warm water with a tiny amount of soapy bubble in it onto the fairing so you can slide them about easily and get them sitting correctly. Then use a wee squeegy or something to make sure they stick down well and you get any bubbles or trapped water out from underneath them.

Ideally you would want to give the top fairing a few coats of clear laquer over the top of the decals to protect them, but you could skip that step if required or give the top fairing to a local body shop and get them to do it.

Anyway, here's a quick picture of the decal kit:-

Im still undecided on what to do with the colour scheme bearing in mind im a bit tight on the old benjamins, one thing for sure i want the original decals back on, but everyone that has seen the bike are saying the yellow and red work well together but just need a way of working them together, any ideas lads do you think i should go back to red or work the yellow and red together:confused

Cheers Lads

Milleboy, the red and yellow don't really work now do they. Get some quotes from a local bodyshop to prepare and spray all the panels. I think you should still go for a 2008 model white RSVR rep. Graphics you can get from Imageworks.

looking good mate,id stick with all yellow or all red with origial grafix buddy.just my opinion mate for what its worth.

Haaa ok ok it was just a thought :biggrin

Yeah i totally agree white would be the best option with out a doubt but unfortunatly i dont have that much spare cash for the respray :cry

HHHAaaaaaaaa Thats not bad for you

Cheers mate, it took me a while to think it up :biggrin

In my opinion dude i would try to put it back to standard paint. I really aint a big fan of non standard paint jobs plus you have to think about when you come to sell the bike, not everyone is gonna have the same taste as you if you paint it a different colour

Cheers,

Ritch

I could hear brain ticking from here Ritch:biggrin
