Stage 1 of the Rebuild

lol defo marmite ive had it in me head to try out for ages, and it was only a couple of quid of ebay, so i thought it would be rude not to try, still in 2 minds myself,

Just got some good news this morning lads got an email back from Image works and all is good for the Haga rep kit trying to get booked in for Saturday so fingers crossed he will reply with a yes:doug

are they supplying and fitting em chris, and do they just stick em on or laquer over them to prevent em fading or coming off mate?

there supplying and fitting mate, not sure if the laquer is included he never mentioned it in the email,

hi mate there charging £150 and thats with me supplying the nose decal which RSV ecosse kindly donated me

well, you never know mate,if you stick with a design, its worth the clear coat, but then your stuck with it cos you cant just peel em off and change your mind as easy.pro's and cons to both mate.

hi mille chris. jeff here. the process should be spray panels leave em a couple of days to harden apply decals back to spray shop for a laquer/clear coat let them harden off put panels back on bike if you dont give them at least 24 hours the laquer will be soft any bugs or bits flying around will inbed into laquer and become a permanent addition to your bike .. imageworks DO NOT APPLY THE CLEAR COAT.that is for the spray shop after the dcals have been applyed ok chris hope this helps mate .cant wait to see her:doug:doug:doug

the clear coat laquer should be in with the spay price tell them you need to have the decals laquerd over shouldnt be a problem unless they are using gloss coats anyway....

as far as i know buddy there using solids and not 2 pack but i can always get it laquered in the future if needs be, but cheers for the info Jeff,

Hi Dan humm gud question i think to be honest if i had been fully comp on the insurance then it would of been matter righting it off and getting the payout, but with it only being TPF&F i didnt really get a choice, it was either chuck the best part of 3k down the pisser or get me finger out splash a bit of cash and get her back on the road,
I got to be honest there was some tough moments when i struggled to find particular parts but ya soon move on and it always turns up sooner or later,

To be honest i think once im back from my trip and im back in the flow of things i might buy another damaged bike and build it back up, maybe stick with a jap bike though as im sure it will be alot cheaper :biggrin
