another update

The bike is starting to come together now just missing a couple of fairing panels but apart from that its rideable been round the estate a couple of times and all is good

Blimey, the first piccies had me thinking .... all sorts of things. Pink bike, pink car. Then I guess something went right and I see it's red. Phew! Tell me I'm right.

excellent work buddy,glad the casts off and the bikes coming on a treat.
cant wait to see the end result with the new paint scheme and its all done.

B o B:- Haa yeah sorry to disappoint Bob there’s no pink in my bag, just some shoddy weather and i was in a bit of rush, so never got chance to edit them before I posted them

BIG UN:- Alright mate cheers for the kind words, was so happy to get that cast off was starting to get a reet funky smell to it haa!

Unfortunately the paint scheme wont be as saucy as I first wanted due to budget etc so will be staying red for now but will still look 100 times better then it does now:biggrin

Sprocker:- Haa thought you might pipe up when ya seen the yellow panels, unfortunately buddy wont be yellow for long, :thumbup

Good freaking news finally found the last part of the fairing i needed:doug All paid for and in the post!!

Just ordered some nice red and black Sidi Vertigo boots aswell so more broken toes for me:biggrin my mate is lending me a jacket, and my old Gloves will do for the min so just waiting on a helmet now not sure what to do about trousers cant afford them just yet so maybe either look for some ****** 2nd hand ones off ebay cheapest possible, as it will be better then nothing, so touch wood i should be up and running by the weekend:thumbup

its fantastic mate.i truly love it.
some will argue theres better/faster/more upto date machines out there,
but ive tried and like gsxr1000,3 r1's,loadsa blades,zx7+9's,a blackbird,exup1000,even an xjr1300 lol,but none have given me as much fun,confidence or suited/fitted me better than this bike!! its my soul mate/bike lol.

Ritch:- alright mate going to keep it red mate cant afford to go for a fresh colour scheme and my new boots and new leathers are red and black:biggrin but for the moment well the next 2 weeks it will be staying yellow black and red, going to have a ring round the local paint shops to see how much they will charge for a respray if its to exspensive ill have to pull my finger out me *** and spray it myself

Ive had Sidi's in the past mate, never had any probs, i did lose one though when i trash my bike, never did find it ? ? ?

2nd hand ones mate thats all i can say haa!! there Riossi or sumin 2 pc leathers black red and splash of white won them on ebay last night £80 delivered cant grumble

Hi m8,

What are your plans as far as painting the replacement fairings go?.

It's just that I have a set of the top fairing decals sat here gathering dust.

They are not original Aprilia ones, but very good copies. I got a mate of mine who owns a graphic design business to make them up for me. He did about 30 sets for me and at one point I was flogging them on eBay.

Think I still have one left although I will need to check what colour the "zig-zag" strips that go down either side of the headlight are.

They consist of the white number board part that surrounds the headlight, two zig-zag strips for either side and the "RSV Mille" decal that goes on the white number board.

Just like the ones in this pic you posted:-

I will dig them out and take a pic of them.

You can have 'em free of charge if you want mate, that is if you intended going for the original look of course, maybe you have other plans in mind, I dunno?.

Let me know and I will go look them out to see what's what. :thumbup

WOW cheers GAz that would be fantastic if you could sort that, im defo after going for the original look, i keep looking at pictures of the bike when i first had it and think one day it will be like that again:inlove but yeah i would be super super gratefull if you could help me out nice one Gaz glad ya finnaly signed up :biggrin

Haa cheers Andy yeah i had that problem with my trainers didnt half make me Yelp when i touched it :biggrin

Ive managed to get away with my orignal front fender for the short term mate its got one part broke but it fits secure enough
