Stage 1 of the Rebuild

milleboy, here's a picture of mine. You can see the white connector in the centre of the picture. It's pushed on upwards towards the relay mounted behind the clocks

Glad to see it's all coming together dude, just in time for the warmer weather :thumbup

To be honest mate i dont think there aint much Pete aint got, dunno where he keeps it all !!!

As for Imageworks they are fantastic, Graham is a star. I would recommend letting him fit them for you too. Ive got a set of Genuine Aprilia rear seat/tail decals to be fitted on my bike . Didnt fancy doing it myself, so he is doing them for me, cant get better service than that :biggrin

Cheers,

Ritch

Alright everyone

Time for another update

ok since the last lot of pics, ive now done the following

Fitted the Replacement Clip On and the replacement Cold start idle control, bit of a ball ache to fit the cable but got there in the end

build20.jpg

next up was time to fit the Radiator to be fair this was quite an easy job but when fitting the belly pan i noticed there was something bent due to it not lining up damn it!!:dowhat

build22.jpg

ok now it was the front fairing/clock bracket was looking forward to get this on as i was pretty limited to the jobs i could do with out it, also fitted the new clocks :biggrin
both parts were a walk in the park regarding fitting

build18.jpg

last up for the day was the ignition barrel! this was the last part that i needed to test the electrics and to see if the bike would acctually start, now this was a bit of an oddball to fit, i removed the top yoke so that i could get to the bottom of the barrel and luckily for me all i needed was the plastic part of the new lock and to clip it on to the bottom of the old lock hey presto job done and get to keep the orignal keys.

next up was to connect the battery back up not that i thought it would do much good as its been stood still for 9 weeks and ive read so much about optimates and dead batterys etc etc but with wishfull thinking i thought hey worth a try!

well battery Connected and key in the ignition a few kind words to god and well ill let the pic say it for me

build19.jpg

OH Yeahhhhhhh we have power :biggrin never been so happy to see them lights, next up was to start it up, as it was going so well i thought hell yeah lets give it ago,

Did a quick vid to record the 1st moments of the kick over :biggrin excuse the scruffy clothes haa

All in all a good day

Great job there milleboy sounds good with that blueflame can, and I like the gold wheels :thumbup not be long till your on the road now :devious

Cheers Sprocker

Hoping to be on the road for the end of the month just waiting on a few last bits and respray, then i need to sort me wrist out so i can twist the throttle:devious

It was such a relief to hear the V-Twin come alive forgot how loud the bloody thing was :biggrin

another quick update just recieved the outer air intakes from Carbon Kid nice one mate there in great condition cant wait to get them fitted :thumbup

will get pics up as soon as there fitted might be a few days as im back at work :rant

All thats left to get now is the inner Air intakes might be able to get away with the one side as its not to badly damaged so one tiny part is left then i can send them off to the spray shop :doug

Its sooo close!!!

alright lads i was thinking the same to be fair, but im not sure if i lost something in the crash because i cant find anywhere that it connects to, the indicators from memory have a 2 pin connector inline rather then the L shaped one, :confused

Legs off top of my head i remember the big connecter for the clocks but i dont remember any other slot

alright there just had the front of mine defo looks like the indicator relay

arr that explains why my indiators are doing nothing at all lol thats great news cheers buddy, i now know what im looking for, life saver

no can do mucker im in retirement from the stunt riding only do indoor vids now garages etc etc you know how it is:devious

Time for another quick update

Spent the last couple of weeks collecting all the little niggly bits to complete the bike and i can safetly say im 98% complete just waiting to source 2 last parts, shouldnt take to long "touch wood"

Just like to say a quick thanks to Carbon Kid for sorting out all the last little bits that i was after Cheers Andy:thumbup

Ive got a nice build to crack on with at the weekend going to be a busy but exciting weekend:doug

All going well my day should go along the lines of

Draining Rads

Fitting Replacement levers

Fitting Remaining Indicator

Brake Pot

"Carbon Ears":inlove

then just a matter of wiring up the headlight and fitting all the fairing back together might be a bit of mix and match as far as the colour scheme goes but at least ill be able to take it out for a little blast :biggrin

Will get pics for you on Saturday

Cheers
