speed detector

I had a stand alone radar/laser detectror in the past, and the amount of false alarms it gave off was unbelieveable, also the distance for the warning wasn't enuff to slow down sufficiently when really motoring.

Hence why i would go for the gps type anytime.

Just my personal experiences........

I also get secret parcels sent to work, otherwise they go to my parents or mates houses, and i have to hide the red "while you werre out" cards from the postie...............

You have it the wrong way round !! Gps ones won't give u a false alarms due to it being so pin point !!!???

Thats what i said, the gps ones dont give false readings, and that was why i got rid of my radar detector and used the sat nav gps system in my pda phone.

Only trouble is keeping it secure when on the bike and at eye level, hence why i ordered 2 of these, one for rsv, and one for ninja.

As for under the thumb, no, oh ok then, but its for a quiet life, then when i do get caught out, i just reel off all the things she's ordered, and i'm always in the clear afterwards,:doug

a inforad detector !
anybody else got one of these?
they only pick up fixed cameras and specs cameras but what a difference a little l.e.d makes . originally got told these were useless and what a load of bollocks they were!
well i can tell you they do work perfectly they warn you when there is a camera and flash like fook if you are speedy towards that camera. best £32 ive spent.
especially if you are out of your neck of the woods and you don't know where they are:biggrin CHEERS GUYS

Can anyone take a photo of where you take the positive off from the rear lights please?

Can't get you a photo as i've lost my camera over christmas :confused

there is (on mine anyway) a white connector on the right hand side near the rectifier which feeds the lighting loom. 2 yellows..2 blues..and 2 yellow/green striped wires. Yellow is positive for lights, blue are earth. Yellow/green are for brake light feed. All i did was to bare some insulation on one of the yellow and blue wires without cutting the wire (be careful while your doing this) and soldered the inforad wires to them ( inforad black/red stripe to the yellow wire, inforad black to the blue wire) insulate these joints with tape and job done :thumbup clear as mud eh :biggrin

PS... unplug the white connector before you start ...

So just wiring it up to the battery is a bad idea??????

You will have power to it constantly then and drain your battery Scott. connecting to the rear lights means it will only get power when the ignition is on :thumbup
 
Well....I've found that disconnecting the Computer gubbins appears to 'turn it off'...But will look again at Professor Sprocker's thread and re-wire to the rear light...ta muchly you lovely people!
