Does the antenna have to be in line of sight of satellites? Would it work if I placed it out of sight? Mine should be here today or tomorrow so just trying to work out where to put everything.

It needs to be able to triangulate with the stars or something (satellites actually) so needs to be pointing upwards. Most people appear to have put the receiver on their dashboard (even a solid black screen doesn't affect it apparently) but daft buggers like me have located it on the tailpiece. It's pretty easy to install and set up!

Having carefully tidied away the cabling I found that the antenna lead wasn't long enough to mount the antenna under the screen so I've got it mounted UNDER the tail unit. It takes a bit longer to pick up the signal from the satellites but once it does it works fine. :thumbup
