SP Shotgun slipon, Rocker covers & slipper clutch valve

Spent a few hours in the garage today...

Test fitted the shotguns and fired her up to see how they sound. Me like!

Not sure if I should mod my rear pegs to fit with the cans or make a new hanger completely and only use the slip on when I'm not planning on taking pillions..

As you can see, far to long!! Going to chop them down so the dent is behind the hanger.. Has anyone got any of the IP sitckers? Both mine are scratched..

Got potential though!

Then moved onto the rocker covers.. got the rear one on, well chuffed..

Just a bit of an improvement!!!

Started on the front one and have rounded the allen head :angry On the front pain in the arse bolt to get to! Suggestions on how to remove this please? I'm thinking dremel the top off then mole grips on the stud.. will need to drop the rads for this though.. When I looked at the rads it seems that they have an 8mm bolt on top but not sure how they are fitted underneath? Do they just pull up?

Checked my clutch valve to find it blows both ways with only slight resistance in one direction.. I have now removed it and currently plugged up the pipes, is it ok to run like this? Hope it solves my clutch slip... :devious

Going to order one of these badboys.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360234679069

wont solve clutch slip. will not have a slipper action now on the overrun so may be more inclined to lock the rear on down changes!!!!

I see it as a load of arguing!!!
vacuum is pulled when throttle is closed. there will be a vacuum at all throttle openings due to the venturi effect but it will be no where near what a piston will pull with a closed throttle valve above it!
Its like pulling a syringe with your finger over the end vs the same with no finger and a tiny hole in the side.

No semi only for me.. perhaps the evo kit is coming onto play? Air leakage? Im replacing thw valve anyway fingers crossed. .

give it a run with the pipe blanked off to see if the slip stops.
Just watch out on the change down for wheel locking.

I cant decide between shotgun pipes or my single akra... Which way does the clutch valve work, allows air to go down into the clutch?

The shotguns have been sold. Decided to stick with the akra :pirate

Next up on the list is to get the tb's and trim pots sorted, remove rads, drain coolant, remove rocker cover bolt, fit the front cover and refill the system..

You are welcome to use my gastester. still got the pipes I borrowed too as I have not got round to returning them yet!!!
