Hello guys, your response has been overwelming. I'm currently in my local hospital, still stuck in bed and just heard that my femur is not healing as well as is not aligned properly, so back to the OR for me.
Rumour says I will not be ready to bear weight for another 3 months. But thank you all.

Nice to hear from you mate, once they have it set properly you`ll come on loads. if you need anything just hollo and i`ll send someone else :doug

Hi mate, good to see you on here. You got a date for the op ?.

Hope all your other injuries are healing well. :thumbup

I wish you well stefano, it'll be long road but there will be a light at the end of it.

Good luck mate.

p.s. with any luck you'll get a fit physio nurse.

Whatever you do, once you start physio etc, push yourself as hard as you can. If you lag then thats what causes a limp etc. I had a right drill seargent but I'm glad I did cos she sorted me out. Its hard work and very frustrating but worth it in the long run! Good luck mate and hope your not stuck in there for too long!

Wow, have just read this whole post and sounds like you had a right old time!

Even though I am a proper newbie on here, I thought I'd pass on my support.

Glad to hear you are healing, having been in Hospital for a 2 month stint, I can sympathise how boring it is. You will however become an expert at Countdown!!

Get well soon mate.

Stefano mate, Dave told me all about your incident and normally I wouldn't have hesitated to visit mate but I don't do Hospitals at all. (It's a long story and one day I'll tell you all about it)

It's really good to see you back on the forum mate, get some posts up soon.

Has your Laptop/PC got a web cam? Reason I ask is we want to hear and see all those lovely nurses that are pandering to your every need.

How nice to see the old forum site up and running again.
Just a quick update: after seeing some of the boys on their ride out back in august/september, I have now ceased to use any walking aids, and have done so since december 20th of last year; nearly 12 months to the day since the accident. I have now initiated proceeding to return to work, albeit on a part-time basis, and will have a "return to work" meeting with the HR Director and the General manager on tuesday, february 8th. There are 4 different medical reports that support my ability for a phased-in return to work. I can only hope and pray that my employer will support me. It has been an awful 13 months. The lack of action and the abundance of day-time TV has been over-whelming. And to top it all, I now have 1st4lbs to shed, if I want to fit back into my old uniform.

Hello mate, good to here from you, glad your walking unaided, hope everything goes well for you & will see you soon, all the best,kev..

Sorry Stefano to hear you've had a bad time of it and hope you make a full recovery and things work out fine for you and your family:thumbup

Hi stefano good to see you back on the forum, hope that the work meeting goes well for you and to wish you a speedy recovery
