180 or 190

I'm running a 180 Diablo at the moment (it came with it on).

I hate it. :yes I am used to Supercorsa/Racetec 190/55 so it will be getting changed pronto.

Running 190 Diablo Corsa new set on the bike when I bought it, seems fine to me used 180's on the rear of my TLS to quicken the steering :confused but the Factory turns in quicker than that ever did even with a 190 on it :thumbup so I will keep an eye out to see what all the rest are doing seems a bit even stevens at the mo tho

at the moment i am running 2ct's which are awsome probably best tyre i,ve run . tried alsorts mainly racetecs(best for summer but expensive) but found in winter would have some hairy moments because of the roads being cold.Dunlops not keen on ,tends to step out when least expecting it to. Running 190 rear at moment wont change to 180 yes they turn in quicker but alot of it is down to the rider you'll find you are no quicker.:biggrin

I've just ordered myself a set of Diablo Corsa III's in 120/180 so I will report back soon with my findings!

I just hope that everyone is aware of the difference between a 190 and a 190...............

190/50 is for milage and 190/55 is for the twisties. As for the "180"........180/55 is the ONLY size to try for the RSV as the 190/55 is.......don't confuse them....

I just mounted a set of Qualifiers for a trip to Laguna. I went with 120/70-180/55 combo. I had a set of PP's with a 190 rear. I haven't been able to push the new rubber yet but I will this week! My initial thoughts were wow this feels good, but all new tires feel good on the first ride!

120/70 front 180/55 rear Pirelli super corsa SC2 better handling for 2002 and cheaper than 190/55 3000 km max:O:biggrin

190 Metzeler Rennsport, since Mr. Aprilia deemed this to be fit to adorne my pride and joy, I will stick with his choice :thumbup

:confused I think you have your numbers mixed....the 190 is more stable(for the novices) and the 180 turns quicker....(for the faster bikes)

HTH:thumbup

funners do you really think the factory is faster than a normal rsvr because you have ohlins and lighter wheels mate you been misled buddy. don't be fooled by paintwork :eatcorn:eatcorn:thumbup
