103mph in a 70 zone

Fine is usually means tested so depends on earnings & disposable income. But I reckon 1st offense, dress smart for court & wear a jacket & tie have a shave, Address the bench Your honour, sir & generally appear remorseful for your sinful actions. Stress how necessary a license is for your livlihood and that you live in a locality that is ill served by public transport. I reckon £350 & 24 Days.

Well, it wont be long till I find out.

I hope its not snowing too much as a double cross penine trip to find out I cant drive will be the icing on the cake.

My boss has penned a good letter (helped by yours truly), which my solicitor says will help a lot.

I am using a local brief from Carlisle, he even rides a Jota. I thought it pointless to use a Noth East one. I will up-date you on his performance in case you ever need it.

Newelly, after checking the WWW, the outcome is harder to predict than the lottery. My mate it taking me over, just in case.

When you up anyway. Think I got banned in the January I'd managed to get the case deffered from November as I was involved in the Rugby World Cup at the millennium stadium in 1999 they were quite understanding about my mittigating circumstances at the time.
The one consolation I had when I was banned for 6 Months was I got a push bike as the nearest train station was three miles away, did the return trip every day from Cefn Cribwr to Pyle or Sarn along the cycle paths so got to see a load of the local countryside I'd never have noticed before, used to go through a nature reserve & see the Red Kites & Barn owls every day then once spring came along & the nights started getting lighter instead of coming straight home after work I would go up into the forrestry for an hour or so.
Was a fecker though when it was pissing down & blowing a howling gale leaving the house at 6.30am

Pyle, I used to go to pyle swimming pool on a wed night to train with porthcawl lifeguards before I put the beef on and moved to Scotland originally from the rhondda valleys....but have been living in Scotland for a few yrs......great roads up here.....:)

Wots on the 6th jan..??? sorry for being nosey....

Olaf up for speeding facing a potential/probable ban. Yeah I'll be available for a heckle & to help you through this trying period in your life. At least it's in the winter when your bike will most probably be laid up anyway.

So REXR you'll be familiar with the Bronx of Pyle/Kenfig hill where Howard Marks was from. Dangerous place for drugs & gangsters as I was a stranger I kept well away from the pubs in Kenfig hill I used to go to the Farmers in Cefn Cribwr, was even quite clicky in there with the Cefn Riders. Often used to go to Porthcawl especially in the summer for a pint outside on the wall at the Marine. Otherwise Cardiff & Swansea at weekends. Not forgetting Codies in Bridgend on a Sunday night.

Eh don't diss Howard, related to my missus whose family are from Kenfig Hill, met him loads of times he's a top bloke :)

But I agree Tricky Kenfig Hill pubs are rough as ****. Oh and Cody's - worst place in town!!

S, thought yer were tough as ould boots mucker, whit wae yer kick'em in the nuts expertise and all?

been tracking this olaf.........

best of luck to ya.....................

hope it turns out ok...

Just read back to tjhe start of this thread and I am shocked

"103" of her Majestys MPH in a 70 mph zone?!!

Just how fast can these fearful velocopedes travel?

Ought we not to have a Pikemyth walking infront waving a red flag?!

Seems a lesson is here to be learned and my original suggestion that one asks the beak :-

"How the **** do you expect a man to ride the finest nakkid sports bike bar none at below the national speed limit?"

Might need to be tamed down a lickle bit

If this had been during the summer months it could have turned into a reet good fud fest.

Not scared of anyone A me old mucker, it's just right minging in there. Went in there once sober(ish) and **** me what a sight.

Oh and good luck Olaf, done for 99 once and I was bricking it. 6 points and £250 fine back in 96 I think it was.

Bloke in front of me was 102/3, took a work colleague to vouch for the fact he needed to drive for his job and he also got 6 points but a much bigger fine.

S, a know whit yer mean a've been in a few places like that.

Would it help if 20 or so of us rode down ... formed a guard of honour outside the court and revved our Ts enthusiastically just before your turn infront of the beak?

Mybe not ... but a good excuse for a ride out ... and I'm sure one of the pack would give you a backie home!

Seriously tho mate - I'm sweating for you.

I got banned 20 or so years ago for drink driving after becoming involved in a multiple car pile up (I was last one into the wreckage on my GPZ750) and although only 1 point over ... they threw the kitchen sink at me. I was lucky not to be done for careless or reckless driving as well ... as the beak said I'd been travelling far too fast in a 30mph zone in the rain. Infact I'd been doing 30mph ... and if a load of cars hadn't all gone bersek at a junction I'dve been fine thank you very much.

I wish now I'd not bothered with a brief ... he was utterly useless ... mumbled about me losing my job (which I did) if I lost my licence and being remorseful (which I was) ... and sat down smiling at every ****** as though he'd done a bloody good job. *******.
