I was in the Merchant Navy (bit like uncle Albert) and sponsored through college so from the age of 17 to 26 I was permantently pished and out on the lash all over the world mind you ... not just in Uphall. Broxburn and Bathgate.

Now?

I go out Monday rifle shooting for a team (Google bell target shooting) = guns, ale and crack ... sounds liek a night out in Manchester!?

The rest of the week I usually shut work PC down about 8 or 9 o'clock at night and pop open a bottle of red.

Miss the social life? Yes

Enjoy not having hang overs and getting into scraps? Yes

Could I afford to drink in ra pub every night at todays prices (and I used to smoke) .... nfc

Now my weekends are dedicated to Friday and Saturday night de-hab and re-tox.

Thats easy as feck, I'd get oot o bed then stub ma toes against everythin on the way to the toilet.

Bin there to many times before that it's now Auto Pilot with built in sore toe avoidance.

Stressful day today, presentation and interview for a promotion I'm going for, plus it's been busy as **** all week, so necking some cheap Spanish white pish they had on offer in Tescos. It's doing the job.

Tomorrow - a mate from Stroud is coming down for the night so it'll be shitloads of beer, talking bollox, leering at women, and curry. :thumbup :thumbup
