I made the mistake of polishing off the end of a bottle of Dalwhinie after work... Only a quarter bottle of it left y'know. But then I wanted a nightcap...
Oh look, just a wee bit of Quinta Ruben left in the bottle (about a third of the bottle me wife tells me the next mornin'). I finished that off a little quickly. Moderate amoint of single malt + empty stomach + three 12 hr shifts with minimal sleep = wee Hamish almost putting his head through the wall on the way to bed. Pished tae th' gills lads... And next morn was nae tae grand...

*******....

Need to replace the bottle of Quinta Ruben and may crack a bottle of Balvenie two cask tonight. Or maybe the MacAllan 10 y/o. Not up to tue Bruichladdach tonight.

I'm having a snifter tonight seen as I got so ffokin cold me taliwacker turned in o a taliwaser today. I needed a hot bath to coax him out.
 
And some pepper. Don't forget th' tweezers tae catch the poor wee thing when it's jolted from it's wiry nest!!
 
Thursday night come early for me tonight. (I've long figured Thursday is the start of the weekend so it's appropriate to neck some booze. Like I need an excuse). Got to get up way too ******' early on Friday morning to get the train to Cardiff (work expedition to investigate how the sheep shaggers work) so figure the usual beers and bottle of wine may not be a good idea.

So, guzzlin' tonight. Happy days..
 
Orange juice and soda for me tonight... Oh, and a couple of tramacet borrowed from me wee sister. First time in a long time that me feckin' arm hasn't been screaming. The weather has gone from a low of -21 C last night tae +2C at 2200 tonight and warming tae +5C by tamarrah afternoon. Lurve them barometric changes...

Coupla beers earlier on, now getting towards the end of a bottle of Muscadet, via a rather nice curry with all the trimmings.

Must avoid more beer when the wine is finished, and especially avoid ebay.....
 
When I was a young'un out on the lash and out of my tree a lot of the time, if someone had said "hey Gilo, when you're an old bas in your 40's you'll spend most of your evenings on the sofa guzzling wine, listening to music on cable tv, and posting ***** on the 'net to other old buggers" I'd have probably slit my wrists there and then.

But now I'm there, you know what? It's ok! :thumbup

when i was in me 20,s i decided i was gonna be dead before i was 40....(big ball of flame on englands green).

ah well... 13yrs after that date i have new ideas. i,m lookin forward to pissin in me pants and gettin some ****** to clean it up.


not quite yet mind .... i reckon i,ve got at least another 2hrs before that,.
 
I have plans to grow a big bushy grey beard and be the most pedantic, miserable old ******* that anyone ever had the misfortune to meet.
