Christ guys, i only went away for the weekend and ain't you been busy on this thread.

Right, update time.

I pm'd crashtd on saturday morning before i went away , and apologised for my misunderstanding on his original reply, but have offered to carry on if he wishes.

Just got back and his reply is yes, we can , and he will help.


Today, i spoke to my mate who knows about online payment methods etc, and he has agreed he will help me as i have never done anything like this before.
So i will get him to help me liase with crashtd, and get a online store sorted out.

Tomorrow, i will pop in on the suplliers and get further details of sizes and colours of what they can do, and also take pics of the items.

If someone on here is a dab hand with painshop pro, and could superimpose the logo on to the clothes, then that would be a big help for me, as i wont be able to get any samples until we have done the logo set up, which would take 2 weeks from them receiving it. ( Its done by another company, not inhouse, unfortunatley).

I will pm crashtd tonight and ask for the logo, without the bikes on, and the highest quality he has, so when its scanned, it would be the best possible.

I will also ask about turnaround times so we could get a idea of how long it will take to get off the ground.

I would plan to do 3 or 4 orders per year, as then we would get a slight discount as all the details etc would be held in what they term an account.

If this goes ahead, would anyone else on here be willing to be second signatory on said account, so should something happen to me, then someone else can still carry it on. I'm just covering my back to make sure is done as best of my ability as possible.

Will keep you updated as soon as i know more.

Good work Beanie. Not sure you should sign your name to anything though. I'd take the orders, get the money in and then just get the shop to make what's been paid for. If they want the business, they'll give you the discount anyway and as for keeping your details on file, why wouldn't they want to do this?

if it saves time n money i could do the logo work, just ask what format they need it in, if its any help..
 
Great work CrashTD and Beanie.........as stated, get the orders in in total, get the cash in your hand/account and take it from there Beanie, that way there is no way you can be left hanging.

Been to suppliers today, and they have just got a massive order in, so it's going to be 3 weeks for the logo image to be setup, and then another 2 weeks for the items to be embroided.

Colours for the fleeces and t shirts are available:Black, Navy, Red and Bottle Green.
Polo shirts are the same colours plus they can do white, but seeing as the logo is white, i don't believe they'll be many takers on that one.

Sizes are small to xxxlarge, so no problems with wearing the fleeces over leathers.

I also found out that the bikes can be embroided into the logo in colour, at no extra charge.

The logo will be the same as in the top left hand corner of this page.

As for slippers, i did ask, and he said as long as long as the material isn't any thicker then something like a donkey jacket ( remember them ), and its a flat surface, then they can do them, although they would take longer, so if they was demand, then i could organise them as a order on the second batch order.

Anything else anyone can think off, ask it here or pm me and i will pop in there on thursday when i take the logo in to set up the scanning part of it.

Considering we are most possibly one of the most used/visited RSV forums by owners, yet I see that we are most possibly the least organised.

As far as I can see all we have here is banter and feck all organisation and without organisation chaos will ensue.

Come on mods sort this out, should it really be down to forum members to sort out what is in effect the customers needs? (e.g. Merchandise!!)

I paid for membership that gives a few additional priveleges, on another site of which I will not mention they get merchandise FOC when they pay up.

This is a top forum with many top members but it seems to me that anything to do with the logo its no go area. Been a member for awhile and so far all I can see is some stickers for sale, nothing to promote the site. Lots of members seem to want items like jackets etc but nothing seems to come of it.

Amb/Garvey our duties in moderation has nothing to do with the mechandising of the site. We are here to moderate behaviour and have the ability to edit posts more than anything (not that it needs it really)

Merchandising of the site is purely a call for the owner as they own the copyright etc etc and has no more to do with mods than it does with anyone else really except the person organising the supplier.

I can only say some merchandise would be nice from a personal point of view as my wardrobe is somewhat limited. (flares).
And well done to beanie for putting in the effort to hopefully get it rolling.
 
Some nice work. Do you have a site you sell from? and what kind of prices do you charge? Might get me self a Aprilia Hoodie/fleece or something until this rsvzone stuff is sorted :)

Anyways, If you want me to knock up some PS pics with the logo on to give the idea then let me know, more than happy to help.

Do you think your guy will be able to make some Patches? Fancy sticking some on my leathers for when the weather is hot and no fleece is required.

i dont really intend to take work from the site, it was more to maybe work with the site.

If stuff is sorted thats fine. It was just an idea because i do do all this stuff from home.

I am based in leeds.
