Great prices Beanie. I'll certainly be up for some kit at those prices - why/how do we order?

ok, since i've had several people PM me about making things for RSVzone, I'll say what I need to say in public.

First of all, let me say I love the fact that there's so much interest in this. Clearly, we have a die-hard community here. And I'm game for having RSVzone apparel available to you guys so you can help whore our logo around at your local ride/track/hooliganating.

However...

I've probably had 10 different situations on the 4 sites I own where people want to make something with our logo and sell it to members. And they almost always end with more headache than they should, and not that I'm just out here to make a quick buck, but the site almost never sees any money, and usually I end up holding the bag on a nasty situation, while the produced skirts off with a couple hundred-thousand dollars, never to be seen again.

So....

My life is made easy when I setup something like cafepress, which doesn't have great quality, and doesn't make anyone except cafepress a whole lot of money. But, they've never not delivered, and I've never had a complaint.

Now...

If one of you boys wants to take on the job of providing a full service merchant shop: hats, polos, t-shirts, hoodies, fleeces, thongs, whatever, that will process payment and all that, I'll be more than happy to license the RSV logo over to you for that use.

Who is up to the task?

Any surplus funds that come about i would split between Crashtd, as he has kindly given us the right to use the logo, and it's only fair he gets some payback for his hardwork he puts into the forums/sites, and a biking charity such as mag or nabd.

emphasis added.

I have done no such thing. :rant

I like the fact you can supply a full shop service, but in no way have I licensed anything to you or given you my blessing. Its a bold faced lie to say that I have.

I like the prices, and the arrangment you've stated earlier, but it worries me that you'd say that something is a done deal when you and I have never spoken outside of this thread. This is the stuff that makes me wary of letting people sell merch. like this on the site. They always want it done right now, now, now. Orders get taken, money exchanges hands, and all hell breaks loose for me to clean up. Prove me wrong.

You need to PM me unless you'd rather hash this out in the open.

crashtd i think you have got it wrong ,nobody wants to pull the wool over anybody's eyes or anything of the sort , just a misunderstanding i think . but if it upsets you this much then maybe we should just bin the idea .

I'm not suggesting that anyone is up to anything less than a sincere effort. But when I read a post that says I've told someone they can do something, when I've never talked to that person, it rubs me the wrong way.

I WANT someone to provide RSVzone merchandise. I really do. But whoever it is that does that, at some point...actually has to talk to me. Beanie sounds like he's got a good solution for this, and I want to hear more about it and figure out the details. At the same time, I don't need someone misrepresenting the facts of the matter, getting 2000 people's hopes up, and then I come along looking like the bad guy when I say "Whoa...what's going on here, I never said that..etc".

Do you see where I'm coming from?

I'm not even trying to squeeze a profit out of the deal...its worth more to me to see the 2000 of you guys, or at least the 300 or so of you that come here a few times a week, to sport the RSVzone name on rides and generally love the piss out of this site.

Did not mean that in a sarky way crashtd mate sorry but when we went to the bristol meet we did not know any body from the zone and if

sorry hit wrong button as i was saying if we had some sort of tshirt or some thing like the club aprilia boys we can see who is who so sorry if it came across as i was being funny mate:eek:ops

Beanie, can you speak to CrashTD and sort this out cause I think the forum needs taking to the next stage and having some branded clothing?

As said earlier, when we go on ride outs like the Mayday run last Monday, I saw loads of Milles but could not tell if they were from here or not. I suppose you could say the branded clothing would act as an ice breaker.

Those prices you posted are spot on mate, if the quality and design are up to scratch then I think we will have an excellent product available for forum members.

Keep us posted on the progress with CrashTD, I'm sure if you talk to him a resolution to this blip can be found.

As far as I can read into this Beanie has just taken your agreement to use the zone logo from your previous posts highlighted :dunno I don't think he was just planning to go ahead using it without getting in touch with you Crashtd, i'm sure he will do in due course :thumbup

CrashTD, I've just tried to check out RSVZone stuff on both CafePress.com and .co.uk - did you say you've set them up on there already?
BTW, I selected a pretty standard Aprilia T shirt to see how much it was - £19 delivered from the UK site!

Count me out lads

Good idea but to much hassle to advertise someones else site for the cost to me of the material.

Nevermind

This is turning in to a right fecking saga and to be honest I am rapidly losing interest in this forum due to incidents such as this. :roll

Considering we are most possibly one of the most used/visited RSV forums by owners, yet I see that we are most possibly the least organised.

As far as I can see all we have here is banter and feck all organisation and without organisation chaos will ensue.

Come on mods sort this out, should it really be down to forum members to sort out what is in effect the customers needs? (e.g. Merchandise!!)

I paid for membership that gives a few additional priveleges, on another site of which I will not mention they get merchandise FOC when they pay up.

Rant over, I'm off to the pub to get pissed! :rant
