Did not mean that in a sarky way crashtd mate sorry but when we went to the bristol meet we did not know any body from the zone and if

not taken as such, and I agree we should have a way to pick members out more easily. :thumbup

CrashTD, I've just tried to check out RSVZone stuff on both CafePress.com and .co.uk - did you say you've set them up on there already?
BTW, I selected a pretty standard Aprilia T shirt to see how much it was - £19 delivered from the UK site!

and that's been my original reason of not going with cafepress. They're based in the US, so all of their prices have to get converted, and then shipping is horrendous. This is why I want to see someone pick up the ball, rather than have to resort to using cafepress.

This is turning in to a right fecking saga and to be honest I am rapidly losing interest in this forum due to incidents such as this. :roll

Considering we are most possibly one of the most used/visited RSV forums by owners, yet I see that we are most possibly the least organised.

As far as I can see all we have here is banter and feck all organisation and without organisation chaos will ensue.

Come on mods sort this out, should it really be down to forum members to sort out what is in effect the customers needs? (e.g. Merchandise!!)

I paid for membership that gives a few additional priveleges, on another site of which I will not mention they get merchandise FOC when they pay up.

Rant over, I'm off to the pub to get pissed! :rant

Duly noted, but bare in mind we have one full-time admin, and one full-time moderator.

On a personal note, today I just wrapped up 4 years of graduate school (got a doctorate and masters), so my free time is now in much greater abundance.

Why does a forum have to be so organised for you :confused I joined, and stayed on here because it's so light hearted and not censored/over organised like alot of other forums i tried. I stay here because of the banter :biggrin

Why shouldn't members organise merchandise :dunno why do you think it should it be left up to admin :dunno were all in here together why can't we (or should i say those who can :biggrin) do that sort of stuff :dunno

I also paid my subs because i'd like the site to keep running, not for personal gain by having a free feckin T-Shirt :roll

Crashtd...well done fella on your results :thumbup

Sprocks, not talking about mass organisation but when we struggle to get together a strategy to make up a few T shirts, fleeces etc... we know we are in trouble.

CrashTD, please do not take my comment as a direct dig at the time you and others put in to running this forum, it is much appreciated by all and I'm glad to see that you have got some good results there.

I like you Sprocks paid my subs way back to support the site, not for personal gain at all. My analogy of the other site should be taken in the context it was meant, in as much as they are offering what I perceive as bribes to gain members when we do not, yet they have a Chairman, Treasurer/Secretary, Publisher etc....

I know CrashTD has many forums to look after and perhaps it's time to set up an infrastructure such as that on other forums to allow the site to be managed more efficiently, don't get me wrong here I am not on about control, just organisation.

I hope Beanie does pull off making this merchandise for the forum members and that he hasn't taken offence at any of the comments posted here.

Come on Beanie, we need you!! :doug

PS. Sprocks, it's the banter I come for too nothing like it on any of the other forums.

WTF :confused

Come on now dont go accusing people of bribery thats out of order mate!!

Can I suggest this thread is locked Mods as its starting to get out of hand!!

This is due to written replies often and in the case taken the wrong way.

So lets lock this thread and let Beanie start a new one when he knows a bit more info.

I dont think amb67 was saying that Ricky, just that's how he perceived it, there is a difference and I dont think he means to cause any offence .I agree that things said on here sometimes get taken out of the context they were meant to be said in, you will always have that when your not talking face to face, but I dont agree that the thread should be locked...debate is good ..lol

Agreed, anyone that knows me will understand that I mean no offence at anything I write. I am most possibly the most laid back person you could ever meet, I do the stress bit at work and when I'm on the forum I have my helpful/happy head on.

I wasn't slandering any other sites that offer freebies to new starters, perhaps it's a line that we should follow here so that members can easily be established in a crowd.

Heck, isn't this why this thread was started in the first place?

As for locking the thread, well I can see Tims possibly seeing that a war of words could kick off and well spotted Tim, but it won't generate any responses from me as I don't do pen wars.

So after all that's been said and done, when do we get to see these products then?

As said before, I'm up for one of each mate!

Yes Sprocker your right im sure that amb67 didnt mean to cause any offence and its often difficult to gauge comments from people that you havent met before so the tendency is to often take them literally.

At the end of the day everyone is entitled to express their opinions!

I just disagreed with amb67's opinion in this instance and should have provided a more constructive reply expressing my opinion on the subject.

No hard feelings :thumbup

yeah dont worry about it Ricky, Alans one of the main contributers to this forum and knowing Alan well he is not like that.

ps he still a short arsed twot though

:doug

And

All iwant is a fecking Tshirt and fleece FFS, with RSV zone on FFS.

Proud to be part of this forum..................but that is starting to diminish...........rapidly

I'm in a positon too if everyone agree's. I have sorted products out for a mag group in the past and have aleady found a supplier who can do embroidery for a good price and the quality is top notch, as we use them for our uniforms at work.

Only things they havn't got listed are slippers, thongs and poo bags, so sorry to the geriatrics out there.

Wot says you.

HOODIE....T-SHIRT.....AND BEANIE FOR ME BUDDY.................:thumbup

TOP MAN.

Read all the thread Andi M8

Bit of a mess but we will get there eventually.

Just have Tim mate.......what a f*cking mess!!! I'll still take the above mentioned IF it ever takes off........

What a ball ache for a t-shirt Tim mate...............

I've got a T-shirt with RSV Zone on the front and on the collar and I've got a fleece with RSV Zone on and a beanie hat as well but what i could do with is some RSV Zone leathers because its getting a bit hot wearing the fleece over the leathers on these sunny days...........

Dear oh Dear.
First of all, congrats Dr. CrashTD on finishing your studies. Well done mate.
I'm a member of Club Aprilia and got a nice T-shirt for joining. The club do organised very well so let's leave mass-ride-outs, rallies, etc., to them.
For whatever reason though - be it the people on here, the user interface, the relaxed moderation - I like hanging out on this forum.
I can understand that CrashTD doesn't want to be seen as responsible if the merchandising thing goes **** up but, as other members have said, we do need some Zone stuff to ID us all at meets.
TBH, there were quite a few people at Bristol that I wanted to say hello to and I came away a bit pissed off that I didn't manage to. OK you can blame me for being lame in not approaching people but some Zone kit would have made it a lot easier.
So, rather than set up some complex, on-going marketing operation, why don't we just ask CrashTD and Beanie to organise a single batch of stuff to order - much like Hooked has done with his airbox kits. If people want more later, we can do another batch but at least if we pay for them up front, nobody gets left holding 300 XXXXL T-shirts in their back bedroom.
And Alan, I think you're being a little unfair about the Zone's level of organisation. We managed to put together a modest meet for Bristol and you Kent members seem to organise your ride-outs via with forum without too much problem.

Re-reading the above, I do sound a bit like the voice of reason and calm moderation, and I'd really hate to come over like some Honda Valderado-riding gimp so
