Just one of the "fat *****" (20 stone and 195cm) weighing in on the subject. I've ridden the stock shock for 40K km. I've ridden a Tuono with an upgraded shock and I have to say that it is one mod that is going to be completed before the spring riding commences. World of difference. The stock shock just could not be set up to fend of my avoir du pois... Going to get fancy springs and the like for the inside of me forks as well. And all this cuz I like to ride briskly, with an occasional foray onto the track. CF is more for for the individual riders taste. Or, if you have poor taste and want tae look chavtastic, you can go for gold rad guards... Just sayin'
