normal colour frames

Wiskin, turn that throttle too hard, too early with the ****** standard shocker and you'll be mercilessly pitched into the nearest hedge !!!

that's where carefully applied throttle control and large testicles play their part. I've always believed if people can't use physical throttle control without race suspension and technical aids then their probably on a bike that's too big for their talent limit. I've never felt the need for fancy suspension on my zx10r, Buell or Tuono and I've never been put in a hedge. I ride through the niggles that people moan about (quicker than most) with little drama. While my mates are fitting their latest race gadget or fine tuning or tweaking or generally talking bollocks about speed, control etc etc I'm out there riding the country roads, enjoying every second on my Tuono R with it's standard suspension which works perfectly. When the wanna be's with there ohlins, carbon fibre, Japanese track ready toys want to play I'm always ready and when I pull over at the next cafe and wait for them to catch up, I'll be enjoying my bacon sarnie.

and there endeth the lesson, wish i had monster balls like you and, oh if only i could use the throttle..

your right there nobs, will they make a fud like me go faster too ? Wiskin 'll be tellin me ive gotta put air in me tyres next......

I say, Aprilia know how to build and set up a bike. The standard equipment is **** hot compared to a lot of the Jap bikes and I think for road use especially nothing needs changing. Ride through the issues or treat yourself to a cbf500 if a Tuono is too much! If you really want to shave tenths of a second off your lap times rather than throwing money try twisting the grip on the right hand side of your handle bar a little bit further round, a little bit earlier and a little bit more often. :)

dear mr wiskin..............**** off ya ********

actually mr wiskin i feel a tad rude, i should have asked if you understood the australian language, but i'm sure you can get a translation done

This is a forum and you asked for an opinion which is what I gave you. Opinions are like arseholes, everyones got one and most of them stink so if you only want to listen to people with the same ideals as yourself then I suggest you only talk to yourself.
I think you're a rude person but thankfully you're a long way away. I'd also suggest you buy a double bubble screen rather than suspension if your in Australia bruce, heard it was a bit blowy over there- prick.

you are quite right mr whiskins, i asked for opinions on an ohlins shock, not a "how good i am" spiel

My main point was actually, the standard equipment is pretty good and with the right adjustment I couldn't see the point in you spending lots of money on expensive shocks. Me personally would rather spend extra cash on worn out tyres.

****....where's the popcorn seller gone when you need him....?? :lol

Get them to write gift on the customs sheet, no tax to pay then. Saved hundreds of pounds doing that.
fair point.....must admit a few years ago, I used to do that, but more and more US dealers are refusing these days....tax evasion of this kind is fraud & considered serious **** in most States...and tbh, most kosher dealers can't be arsed with taking a punt & getting involved...

'salright Wiskin, bloodnut's still sore about not winning the Ashes back from us! (And yeh yeh bn, I know about the ODI's but they don't matter coz that was just a bit of R&R after the main event!)

What's not normal about gold frames, anyway? :dunno

Wiskin , do you way 11'stone or less iff so then the STD shock will feel fine .

I weigh 11 stone on the dot. The standard shocks are perfect for me, had them set up by a professional to suit me and I can't fault them, the bike behaves just how I want it.

You lucky lucky lucky , skiney git , think of the rest of us Piy munchers , that then have to pay for such wanderes bling iff your over 13'stone to get the R to work properly at the back end .:thumbup

I am quite fortunate in the fact that the majority of performance bikes are set up for a rider that weighs 75kg and is 5ft 9. That's me! Good times.
I usually don't need to do anything more than a little tweaking and despite the akrapovic cans with a re-map, a 15 tooth front sproket and rear seat cowling it's been left completely standard and is probably one of the best I've ever had.

blood a think yer got the wrang definition, :no ******** don't cut it mucker.:hail
