How you all doing.Decided to join the forum. Owned a Mille R for about a year now and really enjoy doing trackdays with it. Still getting to know it really. Really impressed with the engine, brakes, handling looks. Anyway, who out there has changed the valve shims and how easy/difficult is it to do?
Also thinking of changing my touring bike yhat I've had for 10 years and the Caponord looks good.Does anyone here have any experience with these?

Hey everyone, I'm Mark. Live on the sunshine coast in New Zealand. Bought an 01 RSV Mille about 10 months ago and never looked back. Got it cheap as it needed a bit of love and attention. Motor has been well maintained but the aesthetics not so much... Things are well on track though and getting it sorted. Will probably have a few questions for you all as time goes on, but in the mean time nice to see a friendly bunch of folks interested in these fantastic bikes!!

G'day all. I'm Rob from Brisbane on the east coast of Oz. I pick up a 2001 Mille in a couple of weeks so have been reading up all the info I can before I get it. Initially my intention was to just ride it and not spend money on it but reality kicked in pretty quickly when I started looking at Ohlins forks ans Oz wheels and all the carbon fibre!! Oh well, here we go again :thumbup

Kia Ora Rob, get it, ride it like you stole it - enjoy :pirate

Some damn fine biking roads up your way. (The A2 & A3 come to mind, but it was decades ago)

HI, New owner last week,First twin and taking a bit of getting used too,I look forward to chatting with you all and getting advice

Mick.

Hello! New member alert. Just bought an absolute bargain. 03 Mille for £2450. What a bike, pulls like a train. I've already bought the updated battery and starter solenoid. Previous owner did the brown plug mod and charging mod. Was looking at changing the sprokets over next. Not the most flashy of mods but trying to keep the bike reliable whilst getting the most from her. Any recommendations for which sprokets to go with? I've heard the renthals look good with the gold colour and dropping one on the front and going up two on the back work a treat.

Hi, just picked up a 2002 Mille after 5 years away from riding. Loving being back on a v-twin, looks like this forum will be a great resource for me.
