Hi everyone. Just traded my SV650 for an 07 Tuono 1000 R and I am nothing but giddy. I love V-twins and I absolutely loved my SV. But, as most of you probably know, the SV comes stock with some lacking components. I rode the SV for a couple of years and put around 15k miles on it. She treated me well but it was time to move on...and of course it had to be another twin. Picked up my 07 Tuono a few days ago and I am beside myself.

Well done, good choice, you won't be dissapointed.

Hi all! Just joined the forum as Ive got my eye on a tuono factory! Currently got a 2005 Ducati 999 (may be up for grabs if anyone interested!). Started off with an sv650s before getting a daytona 955i. Then got the duke, but have alwaysed liked the tuono! Nearly got one instead of the 999 but it kept hopping out of 1st gear,so that put me off that one.

Hopefully be a fully fledged tuono owner very soon!

Welcome to the good ship TuonoZone.
I owned a 2005 999S before the T as well.Awesome bike,....cost a fortune in servicing and tyres tho,.....I guess that what happens when you keep riding them! Also had the Hypermotard,.....big mistake buying that,....should have had a T instead but was still wearing me Ducati glasses!:banghead
You will love the T.Very different riding style to the 999,but a whole heap more fun.The stupid grins just keep on coming.:yes

Hi new to the forum looking to poss buy my first tuono can anyone please advise i have a bit of a dilemma got my eye on two bikes at mo and cant decide Tuno r 2003 red never owned a twin , or a Blackbird 2000 mint low miles same price just trying to way the pros cons of each bike could anyone please help ???

Thank you

John

Hi John. You've definately come to the right place for a totally unbiased opinion ;)
I'll do my best. The Tuono you will love in nearly every way. You have to experience a twin atleast once in your life, will be hard to go back to inline 4's now.

Pro's for Tuono over Blackbird(never ridden):
Sharper handling and more fun.
Better engine noise (more fun)
Easier than the blackbird to keep below the ton (100mph)(more fun below mach1)
Better looking (more fun)
Italian and probably as reliable as jap bikes (more fun)

Cons
Fuel consumption
Not as much protection from the elements
More attention

My last neighbour had a blackbird, which I genuinely admire, but can't say I'd want to swap it for the T. Except for those odd times when I've got 300miles of motorway to cover and its hammering it down with rain. So if your looking to do mega miles on it, travelling hundreds of miles at a time on a regular basis, I'd consider the Blackbird (maybe)
Otherwise its a no brainer, I'd go with the T every time ;) Am sure others will have a tuppence to throw in to. Whichever steed you choose - Happy Riding! :)

Thank you for the reply and no i am not looking at covering huge miles just a odd blast at weekends and as i live next to rockingham speedway the odd track day when i get to grips with the bike . Had Busas in the past and just wanted something that still gave me a grin without all the wrist back pain and keep my licence thank you again

Welcome Slim... I call a lot of patients Slim or Hoss. Just one of my things. And define "not" Slim... Some of us are a little on the fluffy side (I tip it at 20 stone) and you are joining a rarified fraternity here of the upholstered riders...
