Forum track day get together this spring, fancy it?

So - 19th or 18th? :)

I can do either - and yes I can give a bit of guidance around Cadwell since it's pretty much in my back yard.

Dudes, as a one-off moment of organisation, i rang Easy Track about Cadwell on 18rh March. Chappy says they run semi-open pitlane. What the fook is that says I. Chappy says it means they run 2 groups, fast and slow, but if you (and they) consider you intermediate then you can go out in both. To me it actually sounds quite good, IF it's well marshalled. You could ride if and when you feel comfortable and could get loads of tracktime.

Well what kind of discount might you give to 10 good looking fellas on the the best bike ever made (sorry if this excludes you Griffster) says I. 15% says Chappy

All sounds good to me, I've wanted to do Cadwell for ages, and it's on a Friday.

PS the price does go up incrementally as you get closer to the date. Over to you Sparra.....

what time does it kick off ? 4 and a half hour ride for me so may have to give it a miss, unless we go for the saturday then i could come up on the friday and kip over somewhere !!

what about the db's ? anyone know the limit ? Got leo vince on mine and have no idea if they'd be ok, would bring the baffles anyway but much more fun without em..

Looks like Friday 18th march suits most.

Following on from rusty's post & previous contact, I've tried to contact easy track to get all details, times, db limit, discount, booking deadline & how to book etc... They are closed weekends but once I have all info I will post on another thread.

I'm guessing we'll need around 10 riders for discount so if numbers don't stack up on here I will promote on a couple of other ape forums assuming that's ok with you T boys.

Have a good weekend all. Robbo

Robbo,
Chappy's name was Scott 07800 738413
I did'nt get the impression there was any definite required numbers for the discount, it seemed negotiable. I just guessed at 10 riders and I think he just picked 15% out of the air. If he suggests any less mention that he told me 15% last week.

never mind baffles........

do i have to take me t's stabilizers/training wheels off on track?:dunno

damn I'm sitting quietly reading all these posts (sitting on the fence with zero nada track days ever) and getting all excited!

Nowt to worry about. It can be a bit intimidating going in the garages and pit area looking at some of the proper set ups some lads have. Everyones the same though and everyones had to do a first un and most lads will gladly offer advise and help out. For me, and don't for 1 second think I know what I'm doing coz I'm *****, the nervous bit is sitting on the bike waiting for the first days session to start. Once you've done that first one you can't wait for the next.

Get of the fence dude. Life ain't a rehearsal! Do as I do & wobble round at your own pace. You got nowt to worry about, the faster guys will be on lines you'd never get near & trust me when I say you'll be smiling like a cheshire cat after half a lap.

I'm no track day guru either. First one I did was on my rsvr, I'd had 30 mins saddle time from collecting in north london to being on brands circuit in the rain, riding a new bike & it being my first twin was an experience. Managed to get my dad to do his first track day with me last time at the age of 50, he's on my case to sort the next one so can't of been that bad if it helps!

Couldn't of put it better myself nobba. I have three mates, one a bsb rider, the other two wsb riders. Been out riding with all of them & they are just like us...

...but that little bit fookin faster, lol

everybody has their own pace and those that say theyre good usually aint, the point is its a ******* blast, grippy tarmac, no deisel, nothing coming the other way, lots of run off etc etc etc. its the most fun you can have with your clothes on !!
