when sorted ... print this string out and take it to the dealer and send to Aprilia

There is no excuse or reason in this day and age for a dealer to get away with the sort of ***** this bunch have with you.

They need to be kicked into the long grass and suffer the consequences of their ineptitude

Lets all ride there and take the piss!

dont loose faith in it
in 10 years of workin on these motors i have only ever had 2 motors stripped down and 1 was the training engine on the course up at aprilia uk when it was in scotland .
the other was a crank repair like yours and its doin just fine now no problems at all
just a little blip in a excelent reputation for reliability (caused by rotax changing the tolerances on some engines)
and believe me i work on a lot of these every day.
and we have more trouble with suposedly ultra reliable japanese makes than these.
and lets face it what else out there has the thrill, attention to detail and attitude of the tuono ?
i work on allsorts every day and i still wouldnt change what i ride and own myself personaly

I heart Chas... he knows of what he speaks. The truth shall o'ercome and Chas shall lead the way!!!

You got to keep these people happy Tiffa Lad.

Especially when your after test rides and discounts :)

now repeat after me

our father who rides an apilia
hallowed be thy motors
twisty roads do come
with a tuono under ya bum
ridin on for ever and ever

amen !!:D

ride it and tell me ya dont want to keep it
as they say the proof of the puddin is in the eating

I have no doubt about that, Charley but if Aprilia's attitude and spares backup is still so appaling, i just can;'t afford to keep a bike that has zero backup behind it.

agree....but to be fair, the better dealers are more 'on the case'...constantly on & on at the spares distribution division, and arguing strongly on behalf of their punters for debatable warranty claims...
like yours, my dealer was pants...no scruples...poor quality aftercare...couldn't give a toss...etc etc.... they won't be getting another penny from me...

I promise you though....once you DO get your bike back, you'll have a grin from ear to ear....keep the faith.

Charley. I wis talking to a dude that sold Moto Guzzies, he wis tellin me aboot how the Piaggio lot only pay them £24/Hr for warranty work hence their reluctance to do any. Jist wondered if he wis talkin **** or not. It might have been two years ago.

Just to end my year nicely i have had a minor off on my Ducati thsi afternoon car in front turned left, i braked and next thing i know i am on the floor.

Didn't slide far but bike fell on top of me. Scuffs to faiaring on right side, clutch cover and plate wrecked. Had to be relayed home.

Very sore now but thankfully a brokne rib seems to be the worst of it. Just waiting for the Co Codamol to kick in.

...they don't call you unlucky duke for nothing then?

sorry dude...couldn't resist....gald you're not too badly banged up...the bike will fix....just don't take it to the same dealer eh?

Duke boy... take the rest of the weekend off and nurse a bottle of single malt. Sorry that your luck has taken such a **** lately...

Talk about ****** depressin. PM me Duke and I'll tell you all about my week, it'll see you off mate.

duke you're not having a good time of late, glad to see no serious damage but a burst rib can take a while to sort especially trying to sleep with it. Hope things improve quickly for you.

Hospital gave me some strong pain killers...but they don't half bung you up!!!!

jist wait till ye sneeze or cough un expectedly..... ooch ya bugger!

Ahv done ribs a few times ower the years wi ma rugby, Wan o the sairest injuries tae hae.
