I have been promised i will get the bike back next week after Aprilia UK ordered the ECU needed through the internal ordering system. WTF cannot dealers order like that?

It will be like having a new bike all over again.

YAY!!! Hopefully you get some late warm weather like we are supposed to be getting. Up into the mid teens next week. Unheard of for November here!!! I'll be riding and thinking of you next week lad!

Got to run the fecking thing in again when i do get it back. And i have had so many false promises, i will only believe it when i see it.

Took a Street Triple out yesterday to see what they are like.......

....and on the right roads it is an absolute blast. I doubt i could have had more fun on the roads across Biddulph Moor where i went.

Still unsure whether i want to keep the Tuono after the ****** way i have been treated. And what if i have a minor off. Would the bike be off the road again for a quarter of the year?
I'll decide when i get it back.

I'll pay for the shipping if you want to ban it and send it off to the colonies...

No!!!!!

Then i am hardly surprised. I will never go near another Aprilia again.

Part was delivered today. Bike is being put back together as i type this (hopefully).

What's the betting on it working properly when back together?

Can't say that I blame you after all that *****. It's not the Aprilias fault, its the damn dealer. Sorry to hear that it's been a **** deal for you.

I have no idea whether it's the dealer's fault, Aprilia's fault or both.

Either way i never want to be without a bike for this long again through no fault of my own.

I was referring specifically to your Tuono. Not the the company itself.

I realise that but it has been the most frustrating time i have had in my 13 years of riding bikes.

Bad service seems to be rife in the UK these days but the way i have had to be the one chasing to get this done (and it's still not finished and working) just leaves me totally dumbfounded to be honest.

I really am astonished that Aprilia seem to think this is an acceptable way to treat their customers.

I loved that bike when i first had it but i can't see me ever feeling the same way about it again. I may as well stand outside and burn 10 crisp £10 notes every month!

Have you considered asking for a loan / demo bike whilst they try to get their act together?

No not sure i would use it now anyway. Winter is nearly here.

Sorry for the rant, guys. Everytime i think i am about to get it back, i get let down again!

You have every right to let off steam considering the problems you have had.

I live in Walsall not too far from you so I hope I don't end up using the same dealership as you just put 1200 miles on my 10 plate 1000R under warrantee but not looking forward to ever going back to Speedaway where I bought it from they seem really poorly organised. Could not even fit the correct number plate and did not spot it. I pointed it as he handed me the keys. Since found out they should have offered me the option to buy an extended warrantee.....still have not received the contact details for the free breakdown & recovery..........only had the bike since July so I suppose it's still early days.

Started taking my bike to Griff at aprilia performance in Tamworth........went there for the first service......very impressed
