I rode to Magello a few weeks ago with some great guys, about 2,000 miles in total, about 1200 of which it ******* rained AAAAAGGGGHHH!
I have to say it is daunting at first, but by the end of it, rain - what ******* rain. 120mph through the swiss alps in torrential rain, it was a blast.
So now to my point, in all the riding the only arse clenching bit was going over a bit of overbanding (cheap *******s), I thought I had a bloody nail in my tyre. I am running the old diablo corsa - 180 profile. Other than that moment no problems, now back to Blighty and our crap roads. Last week on a 100 mile ride in the rain I locked the back up about 10 times whilst decelerating and then I was overtaking at just over a ton with the throttle open in 3rd and the back wheel lost traction and spun up, bit of a wag and then grip again. The problem here is that the tyre is obviously great but there are so many different people laying our roads with so much ****, one minute you can have aple grip and the next bugger all!!
Sorry for the ******* essay!!
