wrong assumption

i was reading the local paper about a 39 year old biker who had died following an accident. The story basically was he was on a decent twisty A road near me and read he hit an oncoming car.

I automatically assumed he had got an overtake or corner wrong and gone over the line and hit the car.

The story ended a 90 year old man had been arrested for dangerous driving. I hang my head for automatically blaming the biker !!

Well owned up PMyth.......its a common "first reaction" ah wid say cos we awe ken in oor herts how we drive oor bikes, despite how we kid oor sels wir awe sensible experienced dudes oan two wheels awe the time.....

LOL. Yes Pikey has made me laugh on many occasions. If someone abuses him his toys do come out of the pram and he starts refering back to how he's never abused anyone and copying posts etc. I do like reading his posts. I have a feeling Pikey may be a sensitive soul.

Glad he stuck around though. On the seriuous note of this thread though cos I'd best get back on thread for fear of retribution from Uncle Aldo.

We all know bikes are more dangerous than cars. Its an assumption that bikers are the ones in the wrong from most people I'd say including other bikers due to the speeds they're capable of etc.

I do think though that after a certain age people should have refresher courses though as I've seen some pretty horrendous older people out there driving.

You want to come to brum i've seen some horrendous driving from all ages bikes and cars and not forgetting the cyclists and most likely done some myself:yes
