What did yer do with yer machine today.........Part 2

Ok Mr F, we will send loads of pics to remind you what its like.

Mirrors - mine has none either.
They only get in the way or get smashed when you fall off.

Just say when OT and I'll do my best to shirk my responsibilities and join in. :flip :whoop :roost

O, do yer know if it's a legal requirement to have mirrors fitted to yer bike while on the road down in Englandshire or anywhere else in the UK fir that matter? :thumbup

have a look at this Mr A and if you are feeling brave have a good look at regulation 33 its as clear as MUD:banghead

MIRRORS - a very grey area indeed :yes a fine of £30 can be issued for riding without mirrors however due to there being no requirement to have them fitted to pass an MOT and a very ambiguous regulation 33 it would take a dumb *** plod to issue one.
the easy explanation is that mirrors are not a legal requirement unless the bike is fitted with mounting brackets and if they are fitted they must be free from cracks and ***** :thumbup
hope this clears things up guys :yes

Cheers fir that Mr b, my bike came with the mirrors in a cardboard box, choke cable and the socketed top half of the lever mounts.

So it was never fitted with mirrors but if you wanted you could swap over the top of the lever clamps and fit the mirrors yersel.

Riding aboot on the road waeoot mirrors isn't fir me, I like to know whit's going on behind me but the limited road miles I do on my orange I can live with.

I've seen plenty youtube off road stuff where the riders move their mirrors parallel with and to the centre of the bars,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they've obviously never stopped dead at under 15mph.

Cheers again mucker. :thumbup

Looks like it mucker. :thumbup

Yeah it was a good run out, my neck is starting to ache after fighting with the wind I seriously thought it was going to blow the bike from beneath me lol. Mr B my bike is now spotless :thumbup

Riding in strong winds can be fun, but sometimes can be a bit scary.
