What did yer do with yer machine today.........Part 2

There was 3 of us one time riding the fire break roads all giving it laldy, we stopped after about five miles when noticed there was only two of us, we panicked a bit and went looking for our mucker. He had lost it on a corner at about 40ish and went into a ditch. Luckily he only had scrapes and bruises, we took it a lot easier after that

They're serious places mucker and demand yer full attention at all times, they ain't no blast roon yer local bing or fields, that's fir Sure.

Bears shitting in woods, Popes who are catholics etc. etc.

But yes cheers A - I'll try and behave myself for a change. 9 adults and 4 kids round my gaff - session on :cheers

hope you enjoy the game today Stix :yes but not too much :lol

Cracking pics Aldo. I'd love to have a bash at that, but don't think me bod would be able to cope these days.
Enjoy it while you can mate.

just had the back caliper off and bled the brake :yes never seen so much air in a brake system :crazy now have a working back brake for the first time so just need to learn how to use it again:lol

Adjusted the valves on my Hornet 900....first time in 26000 miles.
Got a fork seal to replace.
Some new front brake pads to go in
And some fresh coolant.
Oh yeah...and some fresh oil with a filter too...:yes

Then it's MOT time ready for Scotland :thumbup

Plugs!...plugs!....yeah almost forgot....put new ones in....26,000 miles too...I likes to get my moneys worth:lol

T, you heading fir Islay in May mucker. ???

Whit aboot the rocker cover gaskets!!!

Brill mileage, it's a onda thing.

Yeah Ali...Islay it is....9th year this time with my mate....the Bruchladdich has 1 more year to go until it can be bottled....3 casks.....he's gonna have a lot of friends next year I recon!

Rocker cover gaskets appear to be ok....I haven't nailed the lid back on yet, but when I do, I'm thinking of using some high temp silicone sealant.
Fingers X'd it should do the trick.

The Honda is a bit fiddly to work on, (needs smaller hands...peado's would have no probs with all their little helpers ) but to be fair, it's nicely put together.

Got a ride in a recovery truck !

Blew the fuel pump fuse (same as last year) only this time it blows the replacement straight away. after 3 hours wating at the side of the road i guess i should be pissed off but im not. the number of people that stopped to offer help, cars & bikes kinda restores your faith.... that + the grin i had from the short ride before it packed in...

She might be sat on the naughty step today... but she's worth it.

:)

Got the gixer lump rolled over so that I can clean off the crap & prep for paint - it only seems to be the front of the sump thats crap.

Its a big lump - no wonder they wobble & wallow.

My mucker phoned last night and declared himself unfit fir work today so I had an enforced day off. I'm up to date with paperwork and pricing so I decided to venture into a forest I'd spent time looking at on google earth.

I printed off a few maps of the area and off I toddled. It's a three hour drive to the target area and the forecast wiz fir rain all day so I flung in another pair of boxers, socks and a towel.

When I got there the rain had stopped, a quick change of gear, bike out and fuelled, the chain lubed and off I went.

I keep falling off and nae Fud wants to ride wae me. :bawling

Mr A, Mr F,

When are we gona get these off-roaders used ?

We need to formulate a cunning plan.

Plus of course, any others who are up for it who can beg, borrow or get their ands on a suitable bike (best be road legal for most green lanes).

Just say when OT and I'll do my best to shirk my responsibilities and join in. :flip :whoop :roost

O, do yer know if it's a legal requirement to have mirrors fitted to yer bike while on the road down in Englandshire or anywhere else in the UK fir that matter? :thumbup

Alas twill be a fair while for im able to ride off road again..... :(

Mr A, I dont have to have any mirrors for the MOT, but mine is an older bike and never had any from new. Come to think of it, ive never seen an off-roader with mirrors on me travels.. so think ya should be ok

:)
