I'm not a fast rider and spanner/stew will vouch for my shiney knee sliders. Now if the fast riders want to blat off i dont mind, just means they get to wait for me a few miles up the road :)

I ride to my own abilities, not to anyone else's no matter what kind of pressure they put on me.

mate what have i started here then a rs3 mille hate campain maybe i should be called badboy:lol:lol sorry kev

No one is having a bash at you RS3. You are dissapointed at the poor turnout and I don't blame you mate. But of the 1000 members probably only a fraction of those are regular forum users. 50 maybe? I dont know:dunno And many of those folks will live hundreds of miles away from the venue and have busy family/ work lives and lets face it times are hard for most of us right now so the petrol money ends up going on commuting etc.
I agree it does sound like a poor turnout but it's not that us guys don't want to be there enjoying a beer with you and listening to the bands mate. Next time I will try to get there tho for sure:thumbup

Hi there everyone, let's not get too upset by Mr RSV3's comments. We all have lives to lead and responsibilities to meet that conflict with perhaps what we'd like to do in an ideal world. I guess the bottom line is we're a big old crowd on this forum and it would be fantastic to meet up with new faces especially at such a great event. I can state that without exception the guys I've met up with so far are a cracking bunch and it's fantastic to shoot the **** about bikes for as long as you like without the usual rolling of the eyes you get from non-biking mates...Happy Days!

cheers mate ! new forum name "mr popular" hmmmmmmm nice

mr.mille wasnt having a go at us,he just feels it was a poor show from a large club like ours,i can understand that tbh.
ill show him next year,i count for 3 normal mere mortals so thatll bump the numbers up!
plus, ive just gotta meet that lil un in person and pick him up and stuff lol.
nice to hear and see all the different milles too.
ive got me name down for p.j's rideout and hopefully ill be able to make it.
i tend not to put my name down for much as sumat always comes along and fooks it up,then it looks like once again,im dropping out of stuff at the last minute.
its nearly always a cash issue with me as due to being thick, ive got a **** job.
at the best of times i only get £900 a month,***,my mrs is 10 yrs younger and gets £1600 a month for sitting on her arse mon to friday,i work my **** off for bogger all and its cost me 2 discs out of my back for the trouble.

dont read what mr.milles put the wrong way fellas,we all buddys who love bikeys at the end of the day,and ill deffo maybe at next years!

As a member, I'm not sure I like being told off like this RS3mille. I doubt your comments are making people feel very confortable. I've posted several threats in the meetups/ride outs section to meet at boxhill and never ever I have received a response. Also I've posted threads where responses or comments have been Zero. Yet, I haven't rant...yet! People join the club for different reasons and I don't think is right to have a go at the whole community just because you're not happy with the turnover of this event and rideouts. I go often to boxhill at the weekends so I'm up for a ride (I'm slow though) :thumbup

I think what this is all about is the fact that the National aprilia day has been organised since last year and to be honest we expected maybe more than 10 members to support us at the end of the day we are on this forum because of one reason Aprilia's and to have the national day just one day a year then maybe just maybe that a few more lads would try and keep the calender free for a couple of days ,pack a tent and come and have a few beers.
To add to the ride out bit i've had the pleasure of going out on a few now and i can say that the people i've met are people i can now call good friends and these rideouts we've been on we've always opperated a sweeper system so no one gets left behind. As i've said before we're going to try and get some rideouts organised that involve meeting in different parts of the country so then people have to travel bigger distance some weeks than others.
We all chat on here and at the end of the day it's good to be able to meet the faces behind the words i agree with what RS3Mille is saying is the fact that a certain few of us tried to put this event together for the sole reason of getting as many of together and try and show some unity.
Now if you look at it from our point of view Clubaprilia.net who organise this day have a commitee of people to arrange things,We at RSV zone have 2 of us and with no help from any moderaters(and thats not having a go at the moderaters by the way)but we tried of our own back,at the end of day we who were there had a fooking good time and as stated in a previous thread we can only make it better next year and maybe with the help from the boss's at RSV zone we can grow to new levels.
And don't forget about people like that sarkybastard, spanner who couldn't be fooking bothered to come and say hello to us and there was fatpants who popped over to say hello as well

Listen here mr spanwah, its my name & you can't have it.:nanaAnyway i would have been there(you know that)but was in germany at the gp,anyway know where your coming from fella..:thumbup

So was there a poor turn out or did loads turn up :dunno

10 out of 1000 has to go down as a poor turnout, whichever way we look at it i spose.
although tose 10 had a great time and a good laugh.so deffo not a waste of time or effort imo.
ill ride dwn with spydz next year (taking me fukn earplugs tho,as he's the snoring champ)
maybe get a few leeds based lads to meet on the way? as long as its possible to make it,i will.
love joining the club and FEELING part of it,but also want to BE A part of it too and take part in stuff.
i know personaly,i make excuses sometimes to just stay local and ride the same boring routes again and again, but moan i dont USE my bike properly,i.e to escape to places and roads ive never been on before and meet folk id never get the chance to meet if i wasnt a biker.
so things like this and the rideouts are the perfect kick up the arse to get out there and get it done.
itll help that spydz knows the way and the crack too.
im looking forward to it.

Tend to agree....the ride outs I have done with guys I don't know all that well have been one off's because IMO they ride like their 'lives DON'T depend on it'...and mine does. Now this is not a dig at those I don't know but it does go to illustrate that 'blind' rideouts are offputting after too many bad experiences....as for the 'Day'...sorry guys but from Darkest Wiltshire it's a bit of a way for one day and no beer...'cause we can't all spare two days for these things.

PS....All the way from London...c'mon RS3...it's only 70 bloody miles

Personally I don't get put off by the speed thing. I ride fairly fast but deffo not in the "****" catagory. I rode out Glastonbury way with a bunch of "twats" a few years back. At first I thought, **** me these guys are good and I have to admit I struggled to keep up for much of the ride. Then two bikes in front of me I saw a cartwheel of bike and biker spinning off the road and up a track as he had over cooked a bend and binned it. He got away with cuts and bruises and a f*cked up bike. It occured to me that these blokes were not top riders just plain stupid. No one should feel intimidated by faster riders, just cos they are faster it don't mean they are better.
