Sunday run yorkshire

crackin day out ,absoluteley knackered great bunch of guys :thumbup try and do it again some when cos i need the practice to keep up :biggrin

Thanks again Mutts glad you pulled the ride together. I would have been quite happy if some of the other guys mentioned on Hondas etc had turned up but in the end it was outstanding to have an all Aprilia ride what were there about 12 of us in the middle session??

On the way back through Malton a guy on an RSV was turning right at the lights (cos we didint quite catch him on the run to Amotherby) and he nearly sprained his neck with one after another of us booming past him:biggrin

Top marks to Sprocker too for having a bright yellow beacon we could all home in on at Squires - outstanding forward planning:devious:devious

Was good fun.

windy and beechy, you 2 were a bit quick even when it was lashing down.

beechy glad you got the rain and not us :nana

Thanks Mutts for the organising, was a good ride, whos up for skeg vegas on the 5th?

Blimey, I'm glad I ducked out. Saw you lot coming out of Malton as I was heading in, my little Honda streetfighter would have been WELL outclassed!

Glad you all had a good day out on our local roads, my '99 Mille passed it's MOT on Saturday so i'll tax it on wednesday.

I have earned my brownie point with the Mrs, so count me in next time !!!

Miff

Proper 'showers' later eh ?

Yeah thanks for that Superted.:rant

I was so upset with my little self and the weather that the poor RSV proper got it on the road back from Malton to Stamford Bridge (dry roads from 3-4 miles outside Malton).

Was pretending to myself I might be able to blow the mud off the bike if I got some speed up. Needless to say it didnt work but I think I did manage to tip residual debris out of the bottom of the fairing on a couple of those crests:devious:devious:doug

Definitely cant obtain a full day exemption from household duties etc. 2 weekends on the bounce but hope to hook up with some of you soon.

Bike is in for service today with ASL (in York), some of you were asking for an opinion on this guy so will let you know when I get it back.

Hey Mark, Thank Chris for us some great pics there. He even got a couple of snaps of my spare bike (the Black '08 "Chesterfield" machine back at Squires).
If i'd ridden up to The Lion on pillion I doubt I'd have been able to hold the camera never mind get some good pics.

Turns out the freak weather was our fault.... have been on to Met Office and apparently a dozen or so Aprilia Twins with open pipes can shake a monsoon out of the clearest skies. Probably rained like hell about 30mins after everywhere we passed through. Stupid b@@tard me doubled back on meself after leaving the Lincoln lads at Beverley and rode straight into the hurricane.

No worries Brooky, one of the things that impressed me about the group yesterday. Everyone riding at their own pace and enjoying the ride without getting drawn into going too quick etc.
Plus no-one getting arsey if the next guy likes it a little faster or a little slower. Happy days:thumbup

Hi Guys :thumbup thanks for the fantastic company ..... really enjoyed myself.

Rain ?? what rain? never came across any :doug

The worst i came across was fog, bloody loads of it at Flamborough Head :dunno

Had a few comments from people in town ( Malton) today " what the fook was that noise? " :biggrin I think we made an impression. Must say I'd have been quite content to stand in the car-park and listen to you guys riding round the market place ..... :biggrin sweeeeet music :devious

Thanks for contributing to a great day ..... here's to the next time.

:thumbup:thumbup I agree, good group to ride with. No one, that I saw, tried to ride outside of their comfort zone.....

And please, will all photographers shout the warning "SUCK IT IN" before hitting the shutter button.....:biggrin THANK YOU.

Cheers, windy
