Hi Cannibal, thinking of leaving Winchester meet up point say 9.00-9.30 and then start the way along the A272. I'm guessing from where you are you'd be coming down the A3 to meet up?
If you are, and depending where Sergi is, perhaps you two could head down together squire :thumbup
Ark sir, i'm guessing 9.00-9.30 so we can meet people along the way and get down to somewhere on the coast in time for lunch before getting out there again :eatcorn

Hmm, this does sound tempting although it's gonna be a bit hit n miss for me.
Only 90 miles down to Winchester from here although for me it's gonna be dependent on one or two things:
1) Whether I make it on Saturday to pick the new bike up and what time I get back Saturday evening. Not been on a bike much for the last 4 years so gonna be taking it v easy to start with to get back in the swing of things :thumbup
2) Whether the ride back home Saturday knackers me out completely :biggrin:dowhat
3) Not 100% sure until end of play tomorrow whether I'm going to be working Sunday or not.
So put me down as a 'maybe' and I'll let you know nearer the time :thumbup

Right gents. There is a park and ride just off of jct 10 on the M3 heading towards Winchester where we could all meet. This basically takes us straight out onto the A272.
We'll be crossing the A3 at Petersfield so that seems sensible for the next meet up point if people are coming down or up on the A3.
Next two major roads we'll cross are the A24 and A23 if there is anyone in that direction.
Then across to the A22 at Uckfield and down to Polegate and along to Bexhill on Sea for lunch :eatcorn
Anyone with any ideas or preferences, shout now

Tesco's I think is junction 9 Gasboy.
Pretty sure the Park&Ride is sign posted off of Junction 10. I'll check tomorrow when i'm up there.
Having said that, if people want to meet at Tescos at Junction 9, then that would give us all a natural fill up the tanks point to start with as they have a petrol station there.

To be fair, with the way the weather it has been of late, i'm envisaging it probably changing about a bit as we make our way across. Short of something horrendous greeting us on Sunday morning, I can't see a reason not to head out. Sure we can probably all check in on here first before setting off.

Depends which way you are planning to come down hooked, but you could meet where the A23 crosses the A272, or the A22/26 crosses the A272. Alternatively, meet us down at Bexhill. Let me know what you think and we'll estimate some times :thumbup

Looking at your suggestion's you must be taking the A272 through Haywardsheath ,if so if i take the A272 off the A23 towards Haywardsheath b4 you get to Haywardsheath approx 2 miles from the A23/A272 Junction there is a mini roundabout you would turn Left at to go towards the by-pass towards Haywardsheath, just of to the Right there is petrol station i believe the village is called Ansty.Do you now it how about meeting there for a fuel stop ??

I don't know Ansty hooked but l can't see it being a problem squire. Seems it's around 60 miles from Winchester, so all things being equal and leaving on time, i'd guess we'd aim to be there around 10.30-11.00am :thumbup
