Seats on Tuoldos

So I just picked up my '03 Tuono and am looking into seat options, as I do take some long trips here and there.

Any suggestions? I've heard Sargent aftermarket seats and Spencer's seat mod as two options, but have found no real reviews on either.

If you've tackled this issue, please let me know your thoughts.

Stocker isn't bad, but the seat is usually a very good place for mods that make a difference, you know?

Hi
I,ve got the same model and I found that by growing additional padding on the part of my body that made contact with the seat I was guaranteed a more comfortable ride. Beer and chips were found to be most effective for facilitating this.

Spencer seat fix is awesome

I have had my Spencer on the T for a month. It is the best $75 I have spent this year. He changed the angle of the seat so the twins don't slam into the gas tank! What is really amazing is no pain between fuel stops. The burn is gone. I think we really only have 2 options--Spencer for $75 and Sargent for $350. Lets see which should I do.

Another good thing about Spencer, he is a man of his word. Trustworthy and a 1 week turn around. Like he says it will never be a Goldwing butt it sure is an improvement. Later

I just wanted to weigh in with my experience with the Sargent saddle. It was one of several modifications to my last bike (a different model) and I always felt it was possibly the best thing I did for my needs. There was just a world of difference in comfort and perceived quality. I've never been uncomfortable with it or felt hot spots.

I still am riding with the stock saddle on my '07 T. and find it adequate for the type of riding and duration I do. The Corbin saddle (according to it's literature) will give you a dished configuration, relieving pressure and also the tendency to slide forward under braking. I've seen many and they are a quality affair, if a little firm at first. The tops are usually leather which will require care if touring and, maybe a cover if your bike is out for some time.

My Sargent saddle on my second bike is all synthetic material. They believe that the out-of-door nature of cycling is best served with this approach. I have found that I have still had to give it some treatment to keep it nice and black over the years due to sun exposure.

There is a custom saddle maker not far from here who creates seats with long distance in mind and, I've come across another saddle maker in New Zealand who some repute to be the best. Both are very pricy. But for dollar value and so that money can be spent on other accessories, consider going with a more mass produced product.

Pics please

Is there any chance of some pics of these saddles from you guys and contact links?

Many thanks...:thumbup
