Ive Got the dreaded brown envelope

do you think honestly anyone who piles in thinks they were doing anything they shouldn't of?
the message was meant to be thought provoking, not to upset or antagonise anyone, but to those wheo messaged me with obscene language... be careful what you wish for!!!!!

we all have opinions, some times we all like to play devils advocate... if we take the chance of racing each other down a road (wether we know it or not) then we take that chance to break the law.... don't become some cry baby cos you got caught... i have 9 points - all of which i deserve because i broke the law (wether or not i agree with it is fruitless)

be open minded, be opinionated but don't be bitter if someone disagrees with you

For the sake of the friendly banter closr the thread FFS. Its going no where.

I agree Dan........ But as a foot note im slightly disturbed people actually messaged agreat1 with obscene text, Boys thats plain wrong, at the end of the day he said his bit i and others said theirs on an open forum, which is there for debate, please dont resort to PMs of obscenitys :thumbup

You should have seen the PM's I got off that bloke trying to sell his wifes leathers. Filthy and disgusting is the only way to describe them

The thing that sets this forum away from the rest is the banter is just that. BANTER.

Lets not **** it up eh lads? Lay the thread to rest before it turns into a slanging match!!!!

@The guys who have already commented on the images posted of the VFR inside the VW Golf.

Well spotted.......you are almost correct. ;)

This incident took place circa 2005 in Sweden. It's regularly "debunked" online as a "setup".

The images already posted are in a way, "set up" for a road safety exhibition at the Stocholm Motor Fair.

Sadly though, the incident was real and did occur. Most of you guys already know I have approx 19 years service as an RTC and Technical Rescue specialist.

Picture of the actual accident scene :-

stockholm.jpg

In the pic above, the crews have stabilised the vehicle on the tarmac using some form of hydraulic or otherwise shoring equipment, Stabfast, Airshore or perhaps Paratech, I don't know.

Rams were used to open up the space between the A & B pillars in order to afford body recovery. The floorpan of the Golf has been cut away to assist this. Although I haven't seen any pics of the other side of the Golf, if it was me, the way it's sitting as it is, I would "guess" they perhaps wen't in on the side we cannot see, maybe performing an "oyster" type operation on the roof from that side.

Whether the A pillars were cut before the vehicles were placed upon the Road Safety Stand, again, I don't know. Looks like they may have done so in order to roof flap it and reconstruct the accident scene with the bike inside the Golf.

The Honda rider was traveling at such a "very high speed", his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155mph) before the bike hit the side of the slow moving car at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the Volkswagen came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes.

The car had two occupants and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them, along with the motorcycle itself.

The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.
All three involved (two in the car, plus the rider) were killed instantly.

At 250 KM (155 mph) the operator is traveling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to SEE-DECIDE-REACT of 1.6 seconds the above operator would have traveled over 363 feet while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the Swedish police indicate that no [such] actions were taken.

A tragic event for those involved.

I certainly won't get involved in any online argument here on the forums about the subject matter, just wanted to bring a bit or clarity to what's being discussed here as far as the pictures/images go.

And for the record, I've seen worse.......much, much worse.

As too, I would guess, have the guys already replying to this thread regarding the accident images.

i have to say fellas pm'ing someone with obscene messages is bang out of order everybody has there own opinion are quite welcome for me to voice it. i do and have been shot down in flames but hey ho :devious
yes i didn't agree with agreat1 but that is his opinion and that is that! that is the beauty of forums and that is why we have them
badboy it was still your fault ar well no chrissy presents for me kids:lol

Yup lets all be mates here.:thumbup

I only have 15 years experience as a firefighter. Technical rescue station too! (not the 19 of you ecosse!) but I am not buying this scene. Are you telling me they removed three fatal casualties from that car (with a motorbike in it!) And they only cut the A posts! Please?!!!:dunno Think about it buddy! Jeez as you know we take the roof of for a broken fingernail, let alone a job like that!

Same as everyone else here I aint looking for a row but cummon now!

(the broken fingernail thing was sarcasm, it's usually because spinal injuries are very difficult to call early on at these scenes):thumbup

god forbid you ever have an RTA yourself BS but if they catch a sight of your black and blue plums they'll blow the fooking car to bits to get you free LOL:nana

Hmmm, yes the plumbs are still bloody sore.

Now I was just looking at the picture and obviosly with the car on its roof you cant take the top off. But I still don't think it is genuine. If the casualties are confirmed fatal and the fuzz are happy then you can flip it over and cut the roof off. I have been to jobs where we had cars lifted out of fields with fatalities still in by crane and put square on the road before we cut the bodies out. (sorry to be graphic). Might be different in other countries tho:dunno

Probs best for me and Ecosse to chat about this subject elsewhere.:thumbup

Opinionated well thats when you rolled in with pictures of bikes in cars which looks like fatalitys to me if that is your opinion then im just a little suprised.

I messaged you at the same time i posted so please dont tar other people with the brush on this forum yes i could have put it in better words but then your reply says it all for me

you should learn to control that lip of yours
you never know who you're talikng to my son

Seriously im big enough to admit that im wrong but what is the point of posting stuff like that

agreat1, take some of your own advice please.

Opinions are opinions. It doesn't make them right. The only facts that can ever not be disputed are those which are empirical. Dependant on your belief system of course. Everything else is biased by opinions, emotions, environments, upbringing, interpretation and numerous other influences.

Threats or promises over an internet forum aren't funny, nor grown up. Be as hardheaded about all this as you want, but you aren't doing yourself any favours by saying one is not allowed to do something, and then promptly doing it yourself. Please, your contradictions in your behaviour shown in your posts aren't doing you any credit.

The forum is based on helping one another. Lets try to keep it that way :)
