im always weary of parking my bikes near the feds tbh,if i see em parked at a bike shop,i dont go in,if theyre having a bad day collecting revenue, then you park beside em with smaller plate, race can ect,ca ching $$$$

yeah i was thinking the same can guarantee they will say something about my can, not to worried about the plate as i still got the standard one in the garage, but for the love of god if they ever get in the situation where there behind me haa ooops have some V-twinn rumble in ya face

I did bike safe last august and was a little worried . I turned up with 8 x 6 number plate and race can but nothing was said. Other bikes where the same. The only thing i did change was my black visor.
Some guy turned up in jeans and a casual jacket and he was turned away.

I'll look into a rehabilitation course, I never considered it but its worth a shot if theres a chance it might make a difference to the judges decision, I have done training, my licence is clean, I've had no previous convections, just wait now and see what happens

Best of luck ck and millieboy

why did you stop?

I'd rather do a runner and give the mate the money for the bike and not let it see the light of day for a long time.
I've done a runner about three times now, the risks of if you get caught are higher so you've got to be sure you can get away and are untracable 1st though.

When I came off the motorway I backed my speed right off giving him time to catch up, had I mirrors and seen him on the motorway taking in all the factors of the bike and how I had just come out the road I would have kept it pinned, you can see the size of the plate and it was pretty dirty, there was no way he got the number, the fact that he rubbed the dirt off and took the number was obvious he had'nt got it, and the fact that he told me that he thought I was doing 80 or 90 means he did'nt get a readout of my speed, the reason I did'nt do any life savers was bcos I was focused on what was happening ahead and to the sides of me. The reason I stopped.. By the time I heard the sirens he was right on top of me forcing me to the kerb, I was in a bad enough position as it was and I've never run from the law before

I been stopped at check points and have been pulled in the car over the years and I've always found the more honest and the more you comply with cops the outcome will be better, their good guys in general just out doing their job

Yes the lesson is well and truly learned, Its a horrible feeling knowing that I will have to hang up the boots for who knows how long and more so in what im going to do to get around, the old saying is so true you dont know what you got untill you lose it

I dont want to come across like I'm looking for symathy, I deserved to get caught and I deserve whatever I get

Well said Raven, and full credit to you for being up front in the first place. Good luck with it squire :thumbup

You'll have a far better idea of how it may turn out once you recieve the court summons with the actual offences they are intending on prosecuting you for. Keep us up to date on any news and keep smiling in the meantime :)

I'll keep ye informed as things pan out, one thing I forgot to say in my long posts was thanks for all the positive words and good advice :thumbup
