It works it feckin works lads

Just junked my CBR6 stand for the new, improved Bubseywoo model - God I am so feckin' glad to get it on something that puts it over at a decent angle again - no longer have to worry about where I park it or keep nipping out of the pub to see if the bugger's on its side.
Had to take a grinder to the new one to get it sitting at a proper angle folded up though - think it would have grounded out like a bleedin' Harley if I hadn't.

BTW, for sale, CBR600 stand, complete with bracket and switch - less than 500 miles use from new! You've just read the above? Damn!

Top fella. That saved me asking. Nearly toppled the bugger putting her away! So any particular gsxr leg for an 05?

Not sure about GSX-Rs mate but some people seem to be getting on better with the CBR1000 stand - hope it's better than the 600 one.

Got my new Bubsey-woo stand on now and all is right with the world (as long as it doesn't crack:eek:) - leans over like a Jap bike and can park it anywhere without thinking twice. Only fitting hitch was that it seemed to be sticking out far further than the old one when retracted. I've got a couple of track days coming up and didn't want it to touch down so took a grinder to the stand's stop which let it sit in closer to the bike. Will see if it grounds out on Thursday.

Just fitted the CBR1000 stand from an 06 to my 07, works a treat as others have said. Stand switch hole for the Honda same position as the Ape so a simple swap, no mods required. Much more stable than standard due to the extra length and kink in the leg.
Only down side is the rod for kicking it down is a lot further back (behind the peg now) and requires the foot dexterity of a balerina (knew those lessons would come in handy one day). Still, I suppose it stops you knocking it into 1st when fumbling as per the original.
Big thanks to those that did the leg work for a really worthwhile mod.:thumbup

Put an 06 cbr1000 stand on my 01 mille r back in june, sits a bit more upright than the original, making it sometimes awkward parking on a road with steep camber.
Also had griff put a small weld in the hinge as it was hitting the bellypan when up.
But all in its much more stable than the original, and I feel alot better for having it.

Thanks for the feedback chaps!

After reading this thread a few months ago i watched ebay like a hawk for a CBR1000 Stand, yesterday i managed to get one from a 2005 model :biggrin

Ill clean it up once i have it, get the small weld in place and then file it to suit!

As mentioned above thanks for all those who done the leg work, many thanks!

I will report back once its fitted :thumbup

I'm glad I read this thread:yes

Only recently bought an RSV, and the first thing I noticed was the dodgy stand. Read this thread just now, then had a quick look on fleabay...Result! Got an '05 CBR stand same as the OP's for 20 nicker.

Now all I need is standard gear/brake levers, so I can refit the stock footrests. (I'm knocking on a bit, and the RSVR rearsets fitted to my bike are too high for me. If you've got some knocking round your shed, and want to swap for some rearsets, pm me - I need the gear lever, and brake lever with pivot pin, and the forked bit that connects to the cylinder pushrod)

I'm gobsmacked by the generosity of you RSV owners, I've had so many offers of help. Thanks very much for the offer, Griff, but I've just raided Little1uk's garage for all the bits I need. (Stew, you are a star).

I loves you people:inlove

OK, I give up. I've googled Bubseywoo till I'm blue in the face, and all I come up with the handle of some guy on a bunch of bike forums.

So what in the name of the almighty is a bubseywoo sidestand, and how does one get one?
