Can you let me know if the 1000 stand tips it over a lot more as I'm getting increasingly uncomfortable with my 600 one.

Managed to get a mint CBR 1000 stand off e bay. £15 + £3 postage and it arrived the following day. Will fit it when I get a new back tyre in a couple of weeks. (Doubt that I will be able to sort that out as cheaply)

The impression that I get is that the original stand is no good and that my bike is going to fall over any moment. Am I just being paranoid or should I be looking for pre '07 FireBlade stands as well?

so what stand fits an 03 mille r,followed the post but cant see which model is best to buy.

cheers murf.

Hi... iv fitted my CBR 1000RR 2004 stand... it leans over the same amount... but the stand sticks out further (red circle is old position)... giving a much more tripod stance than before !! :thumbup

K never had a problem with my stand but just caught this thread, spoke to one of my contacts who just so happens to be breaking a cbr1000rr 06 into a track bike. Sending me the stand for bunshee will take before and after pics. Figure its worth a bash
cheers Tim for the heads up

Stu, I'm using a CBR stand whic his better than the original but not a patch on my Bubseywoo stand which leant over a lot further. Might investigate getting the cast head of the Honda stand welded onto the BW stand.
Hate having to worry where I park it all the time.

Thanks for the pic mate. Sticks out further than the 600 stand but still not leaning over far enough for my liking.

suppose you could always tweak it... heat the stand up & bend it slightly... or shorten it... but how much do you want it too lean !?

you got a lean pic of a BW stand so i know what im missing !? :biggrin

You can just about see it here.

Quite a bit further over and never worried about parking it anywhere.

Yes. and you can use the honda bolt as well. better made.
600 stand is straight 1000 stand is pre bent.:thumbup

ahhhh... thats quite abit more aint it... lol !! :biggrin

il see if me mate can cut the floor plate off... then re-weld... what do you guys think... about 1cm shorter should get the required lean !? :dunno

Sounds about right.:dunno

careful you dont get so much of a lean on it that the ******* falls over by pivoting on the stand.

ust changed the stand on my o3 mille, however when its up it hits the fairing, anyone else had this problem??

It will hit the fairing a simple bit of carbon tape to stop it marking or scratching it will work, as long as the stand stays in the upright posistion then dont worry.
