Hi all, sorry for the weird title. My 2014 Tuono recently got this issue where around 6500 to 7500 revs, if I am riding with a steady throttle there is a slight hunting, but if I open the throttle quickly there is a loss of drive for a brief moment and then it snatches forward. She is fine in neutral. The bike was fine for a few weeks after I installed the Healtech ESE because I had an akra slip on. Then I went for a major service and for a few weeks she is fine and these past 2-3 days the problem surfaced.

I went to the dealer and the did a diagnostic check with the laptop and found nothing wrong. They are saying that since I used the akra slip ons the standard ECU can't keep up with the fuelling and I have to change to race ECU. Now they want to check whether my fuel injector cracked. Could the akra slip ons and the healtech ESE caused these problems?

Hi, I fitted an Arrow slip on, so have not reconnected the exhaust valve, I have removed the cables but left everything else in place & it all works fine with no error warnings, sounds like you could have an unrelated problem which is causing this issue, did you remove the exhaust valve motor?

Hi, I only removed the cables and left the motor. Gonna leave the bike with the dealer in a couple of days to figure out the issue.

Hi, just to update the current situation. It turns out the fuel pump is the culprit. They tried a different fuel tank and the bike was fine. They found that the fuel pump was dirty so they cleaned it and now she's healthy again! They did warned it might come again so next time I might replace the pump or get it cleaned again.

I had the same problem and replaced the fuel filter . The pump works or it does not . Af1 has the filters
