Day trip to France?

Being I live 20 minutes from Folkestone, I fancy jumping on the Euro Star for a £24 day return & heading out for some fun on the French roads. Never done it before & been messing about with routes on Michelin Maps. Come up with this one:

Anyone done it, something similar or got any recommendations?

Depart from Folkestone around 8am, get to Calais just after 8.30am. Get the train home from Calais around 7pm gives me 10 hours or so to get some riding in, take in some sights & stop for lunch with a coffee or two

Any input welcome. Cheers, Robbo

Sounds like fun m8 but the 10 hr drive to get there is a bummer enjoy .......

Mate, run an open door policy at my house. You ever want to come along nowt stopping you crashing at mine :)

Infact, better still, I'm gonna hook up with badboy for one of his 400+ mile day trips soon so all welcome to crash at his I'm sure, lol

Hi m8 i'm afraid there is one thing and only one thing stoppin me ,the old ball and chain:biggrin:thumbup

France is a great place to ride if you get to the right spot.

I ride Normandy whenever i can but it's not a day trip option. Luckily i have a friend with a house there i can use but highly recommend the area if you get chance. An area called the Suisse Nomande is superrb riding country.

The old ball n chain eh! Have the same problem, lol. Just do what I do n tell her you wear the trousers n ya going. Deal with the grief afterwards! A bottle of smelly stuff from duty free would ease the pain!
