ive got a 2002 rsv milie whats the difference between mine and an rsvr i dont know its my first big aprilia cheers john photos would help.

RSVR's will have OZ wheels and Ohlins shocks...and are slower than milles too :biggrin

milie

seriously which is best because this ive got looks the dogs bollooooks goes like sheeeeeeeeeet cheers john.

Ohlins front & rear shocks, steering damper, carbon fibre front and rear mudguards, OZ liteweight wheels , carbon fibre dash hood and I think the side panels were carbon fibre too.

The Mille R is 'better equipped' as it comes with ohlins suspension and oz wheels and IMO looks a little more 'trick'.
I have owned a mille and a mille R and ive loved both, performance wise no real difference but I did prefer the 'R' at Brands!!!!! Maybe it was in my head but it felt a little more willing thru the corners...........

Yep, as above....R version has more bling than Mille, but basically the same engine, although I think the Colin Edwards rep has bigger throttle bodies....They're all excellent as far as I'm concerned!

most is stated above

98-00 small valve heads
01-03 larger valve heads
03 had close ratio box

Edwards had radial ohlins, 57mm throttle bodies, air tubes 2 into 2 system

Look at the different years ....

Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille R

the gen1 are better bikes, they dont have the over complicated can bus electrics which always go wrong, and the £800 a pop
for the generator burn outs that affects the 04-08 gen2 bikes.

isn't the tank plastic aswell?
early milles got metal tank that holds like 2litres more fuel, I do believe
