Hi all,I'm going to look at a 06 rsvr and I'm just wondering what I should be looking out for.Have most of the problems(stator plate frying, rear shock linkages breaking, clock resetting, clutch and rearbrake needin bleeding and any other problems I haven't mentioned)been ironed out on this model?any info would be very helpful:thumbup

I have an 07.5' and have not had any issues with the stator, clock, or rear brake. I did go agead and replace the clutch slave with one from MPL & it makes a world of difference. As far as rear linkage, I have only heard of 3 incidents. A member of the AF! forum was having someone from DOT look at his bike but I don't know of any resulting action. The only other issue I can think of is the swingarm recall but I believe it was 04-05' only.

Hi guys, as mine is an 04 i have checked the swinging arm and that is ok, but what is the problem with the rear shock linkage....:confused

There have been 3 reported incidents of the rear triangle shaped shock linkages catostrophically failing. However, to my knowledge there has been no conclusive proof it was a design flaw as opposed to an accident or such. It is something to be concerned about and some members on the AF1 forum are trying to come up with an aftermarket design to replace the stock pieces.

I read somewhere that the linkage was strenghtened on the 06 model, not sure if its true.Did the clutch slave mod cost much?
