Network Analyst & Network Security - Long Hours , crap pay but its close to home
 
Manufacturing technician..Coca-Cola, boring job most of the time, but pay & perks are pretty good :thumbup
 
I am a Company Director of famliy run Electrical Contractors !
Called Eric Jacksons ltd, has been open since 1928 and is the oldest retailer in the town. The business now in its 3rd generation was started by Eric, then Michael and is now run by Peter Jackson.

Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, currently doing commercial/industrial electrical installation contracting for a local company.
 
Im a IT Engineer/Developer. Developer as in Web, VB6,VB.NET, MSSQL,PHP etc Hours not bad and pay ok but the company is in the Finance sector so watch this space :(
used be a Chef for about 8 years before going into IT :) Can cookup a damn good breakfast :)
 
Plumbing ,Heating Engineer, Pipefitter, Gas...etc... :dowhat boohoo they make me do so much for my pittance of pay....

some days i love my job and other days its real bad, beats working for a living...:biggrin
 
Fook all at the moment cos my contract ended but when i am working its building and wiring electrical control panels :dunno
 
I work for a tour operator as contracts negotiator. Next week, 3 days in Seville
 
I'm a Firefighter with Lothian & Borders Fire and Rescue. Based at Bathgate station on the Blue watch but am temporarily(spelt correctly:dunno?) promoted to the Fire Investigation Unit for 6 months. A lot of gruesome sights here but overall prefer it on the station than here. Enhanced rate whilst Temp + expenses so can't complain........all going towards the bike!!!!

Work from home most of the time, great work life balance:thumbup:thumbup
and as I work from home so much, I have loads of people popping in for Coffee and breaking up my working day.:thumbup:thumbup
 
im a welder for stannah stairlifts.


so if you need any welding doing.......or want a stairlift ...you old gits!!lol

I manage a team of domestic appliance engineers (14) repair white goods one of the largest independants in the country also look after the warehouses for reworks of graded appliances.
Not bad job long hours about 12hr days and its like running a kindergarden with the engineers but was on the road for 30 years so end up training all the engineers and dealing with all the problems they create and still enjoy fixing things and the bike makes a nice change and relaxxxing:thumbup,

Just repaired my Hotpoint dryer today...you get cheap parts then :devious
 
well................................. same as kiwi but think I may be redundant as of monday past - not sure what my director told me, so speaking to HR tomorrow.

worked for myself upto a year ago, back into advertising now which is what I did for 11 years pre my own company ... work on a horse magazine :horse
 
welder fabricator pipefitter i work on all sorts of stainless steel process and mixing vessels for chemical and the food industries but it's all going a bit **** at the minute tried self employed just before christmas but that dryed up and had to go back emloyed.
but i do enjoy the work keeps the rsv ticking:doug
