im a partner in a sign making, graphics business, long hrs and pays crap..but were busy so no wining

Local paper journo with a couple of titles in Hampshire (yes, including your local rag Patty!) owned by a massive, morally bankrupt US corporation.
Don't worry though as it won't be me doorstepping you if you get caught cottaging in the local bogs because I don't do news reporting. Do mainly advertising features, with a bit of motoring thrown in for good measure - mostly testing crappy hatchbacks but I do get to hoon about on the occasional bike.
Not got much time for roadtesting at the moment 'cos they've just made 40-odd people redundant in our group and it feels like they've given about 50 per cent of their work to me. Oh yeah, and the money's crap. But it's a ****'s sight better than a real job.

I manage a team of domestic appliance engineers (14) repair white goods one of the largest independants in the country also look after the warehouses for reworks of graded appliances.
Not bad job long hours about 12hr days and its like running a kindergarden with the engineers but was on the road for 30 years so end up training all the engineers and dealing with all the problems they create and still enjoy fixing things and the bike makes a nice change and relaxxxing:thumbup,

Hi Mick,

Trained and worked as a mechanic, but got pissed off with that, long hours, **** pay and boss changed from classic mg's to nasty **** vw's, so i quit that and went to Mars.

Had my smash and was off work for 2 years being rebuilt.

Then decided i wanted a easy life so became a truck driver, driving from swansea to gloucester for either 5 or 6 days a week delivering bread.

Just in the process of doing my class one , then want to move over to scumerset area and try to get on the continental runs.

Roll on 2009

Griff, tell me more :D Customs and classics are my other passion. 1949 Mercury, full leadsled treatment, on air, 50's caddy wheel trims, wide whites, green candy over dark green, sprinkle of gold flake and white pinstriping, white diamond stitch benches, oh, and a hilborn injected 50's caddy motor.....if you happen to have one going spare :devious How much do I wish I hadn't let my 70 Impala lowrider project go when I thought I was off on my travels, what with knowing how things have turned out now. Oh well, live and learn :thumbup

Blimey what a mixture of jobs..... I wish on the Mercury front Griff, that would be my choice money no object type scenario. However, since money isn't no object, it'll have to stay my dream car for a while longer yet :laugh

The Moggy looks very cool squire, nicely hammered down top :pirate are you going to keep it in it's pro street style? Have the Beardmore brothers built any more mad moggies of late? Last one I saw was a full space frame one for track days. Not sure whether it ever got finished or not :dunno

I teach people how to ride motorbikes, which is good fun, but can est your patience sometimes!

Before I got paid to ride a bike I worked in IT for years, but got fed up of the corporate bull so got out.

I also own a recording studio.

Oh and I've just started a company doing motorcycle tours.

I work in a local main dealer mainly servicing police cars, before that on bikes in a mot/repair shop and before that in a vehicle recovery firm, mainly collecting smashes slows you down a bit though!
